I just got on here today and I have been looking at people's edc pics and I see a lot of interesting lights. I currently carry a Fenix PD32UE but it is just way too big. I want something fairly slim but that has good clarity and is really bright.

I dont really have a size preference, its more about longevity to me.

Olight i3s is the closest i have ever been to pocket perfection for me in the aaa segment, if i were to take only one light out of my collection, this would be the one :)

In that case, the bigger the battery the better...up to a point. What batteries does the FenixPD32UE run?

Is yours too big for you because of the length, or the width?

Well if it was skinnier I could live with the length

Actually my apologies that was the wrong model that one might be a touch too small.

Perhaps the Forum Store's flashlight section has something you would like?

The first link I gave you was to the EDC Pic thread post I made this afternoon. The second link was to part 3 of the EDC flashlight thread.

Not so much the knife, but the Surefire Backup is a great pocket light.

Since you are already well versed in the world of the cr123s might as well stick to that.... and just swap down to a single-cell narrow-head. The Solarforce Z1 is a great little cheap example if you want to get a feel for the format (should be able to find one under 20 bucks)!

I've been running a light roughly that size of a Z1 for ages as a main EDC light right next to a light very similar to your current light in my bag for when i needed more light/better runtimes. Sticking to the same cells across your lights has all kinds of nice benefits when bringing spares/swapping cells between your lights.

I'll cast a vote for the pd30. Retired but still available. 2xcr123 250+ lumens the fenix quality you already know 1 inch shorter and 30% narrower. What's not to love? For what it's worth I own 4 ( 2 in service 2 in backup).

I carry a ZL SC52 all the time since they came out.
It is hard to imagine a better, smaller powerhouse running on a readily available AA battery to me.

I also will carry an HDS of some flavor a lot and have the same feelings about it aside from the battery type obviously.
