I’m currently trying to figure out how to EDC the gear I would like to carry in an ubran environment. The problem I’m facing is that a lot of the times, I only really need a small messenger or satchel type bag to carry my wallet, keys, phone, cables, meds, knife/multi tool, pen and some papers. But other times, I’ll need a an actual backpack to carry additional items like a jacket, change of clothes, laptop, water bottle etc. I remember there was a backpack that featured a removable messenger admin bag. Does anyone have any ideas?
Got the perfect solution. Helikon Tex Bailout bag, it has a beaver tail that is also a messenger bag. It converts for Car seat holder , bag , messenger , seat pad ,so versatile. With mine I can fold out hang on the seat and get to my stuff for a road trip , then on arrival convert it to a backpack 2ith extended EDC Then later convert the beaver tail to messenger with minimal EDC
That is awesome. I’m hoping for something that is a bit less geared towards tactical (no need for fixed mag pouches) and more towards organization/urban/tech. Very cool bag though.
It's not so tactical at all externally. The messenger aspect (beaver tail not attached in the picture ) has slots for mags but hidden behind a zipped velcro lined section you might add velcro pouches n pen holders to EDC I would say see one hands on before you decied very deceving pack. Not without some minor customization to mount a shoulder strap to the mounting points currently taken by the g hooks. Also hopefully when u buy the admin gear set it would come with a piece of clothe that covers the velco hook side of the pouch
Remember some old topic here. Where was suggestions like 5.11 Mira 2-in-1 and Tom Bihn sidekick combined with bigger bag.
