Hey, my first post here. :)

Very nice Jim. I did the exact thing 25 years ago to a Craftsman 4" and still have it to this day. Like you found out, it is heavy but it doesn't bother me all that much. A reasonably priced ti one would be just the ticket! Years ago, I actually removed the muffler from my Kawasak 900 Z1 during an emergency and reinstalled it using my mini.

I've been ressurecting ancient posts I know, but Jim if your still looking for a mini wrench I have one I can send you. I had a few but lost them and I have one left that has been sitting in my dremel box for a while, I used it to mount and dismount bits until I started using the finger chuck instead.

That wrench that was $305 less than 2 years ago is now $418.20...

The link for the $305 wrench doesn't work for me, so how can you tell? The other link that works stated that it was 418 dollars like it was at the time of the post.

    Not too likely :(
With raw material prices climbing, and dollar rate where it is, Ti tools stay in a tight niche. Like that one, intended to work on MRI equipment, where you can't use steel tools due to all those magnetic fields, and several hundred dollars is peanuts compared to what a MRI setup costs anyway.

I'm working with someone, trying to get a 5-6inch adjustable wrench done in Titanium.

I hope we can make it happen. :)

I've carried a 4" mac crescent in my pocket for years, so much so in fact that if it is not in my pocket I miss it. I would have to say that it is the most used tool I have ever carried even above my leatherman. Titanium would be nice though.

A folding or detachable handle would be a good modification. Notice that Garrett Wade claims it is 20% lighter than an ordinary wrench, yet the web page doesn't specify the exact weight.

This one looks identical (if not same) to Garrett Wade ones.

    It says

    150mm adjustable wrench
    Max capacity: 20mm
    Length: 155mm
    Thickness: 9.5mm
    Weight: 105g
    18% lighter

    200mm adjustable wrench
    Max capacity: 24mm
    Length: 205mm
    Thickness: 12.6mm
    Weight: 190g
    18% lighter

Here's the whole line. No weights, though.
