Does anyone make an Atwood's style keychain knife thats a little cheaper. I hate to be a cheapo but I cant afford his work, and I need a small fixed blade for my keychain.

Nemesis Knives makes a great keychain knife call the hellion, it doesn't look quite the same as an Atwood but it works well and it is at least half the price. I have one and i like it a lot.

+1 on the Hellion, I had one briefly (but just got an Atwood Wharncliffe Booger). The Hellion handle may not suit everyone ( it is very slender). The Simonich Bitter Root is a great alternate choice. They can be hard to find sometimes.

Just figure out what you want and make yourself one. There are several people here that has done just that. If you have questions, ask somebody here will help you through it! :luck:

(Look at the KeyKutter by my name, I made it out of a file.)

Thats what I think I will have to do. I have made a few blades here n there, but I'm not too good with making a knife that small fit in the hand and be useable. But if I tinker with enough prototypes I might just get it right. The only other problem is sheathing it in a kydex substitute that I can find around the house. Thanks everyone.

I hear ya. I'm not saying his stuff isn't worth it, but I use my tools and knives every day, and I cant justify that much cash that might get lost or trashed.

The only ones I found in a quick search were $50. Still a bit high for me. His site looks like he doesn't make them any more, so I bet they only get higher. Thanks for the info though, if I had the $ I might just get one. Looks like I am going home made for now.

i have never seen them on his site ....they are 45-50 $ you can find them on ebay under keychain knives and on blade forums under the knife maker for sale forum. like i said i have 2 of them and i edc them one is in my wallet x3 mini and the x2 is in my pocket. i am sure there are more like them ....but that is the closest thing i am found to an atwood knife. i am also sure there are guys on this forum who will know better than me how to help you.

Have a Bat Wing from BHK. Those two are great guys. Love the knife. Would highly recommend it.

I also wanted something a little smaller. One of the members here made one up just like I wanted. Great price too!

Love that one as well. Would recommend for a full custom job.

Cold steel used to make a couple or keychain knives I think they were called the ready edge and the mini pal (I think one of them was like a push dagger though).
