Fair point, although with the same requirements I ended up with the Monster.
Well, you are obviously a crass, tasteless, neanderthal.
I am from Yorkshire, yes.
But amazingly self-aware.
Orient watches are nice.
A diver is, I think, the perfect watch. No need to worry about water (if you're outdoorsy) and the timing ring can be used everyday - either as a countdown (say for boiling eggs) or as a record of elapsed time, noting how long it takes to do any kind of task or action.
If you have small wrists, check out Vostok watches - ebay is the best way to pick them up. You could get two new Vostok Amphiba SS automatic dive watches for under $200. And a couple of nato bands for them. (Also go to watchuseek and do some research.)
Not my pic:
My wrists are very small - I tend to go with Vostoks or the midsize seiko diver's watch SKX13K - the quality is way above the seiko 5 cases.
Also not my pic:
Have you looked at Citizen? You should be able to find a nice Eco-Drive on a bracelet for $200, and no need to wind or change batteries
