    Hi everyone,

I've been on the pens EDC forum for a while, but have not wandered into the watches one much. Right now, I am looking for a watch to wear at all times during the day, and I'm hoping people who are knowledgeable about what's out there can help, or at least point me in the right direction.

    # Watch criteria

For now, let's assume money is no issue

    ## Requirements

    - Smaller the better. Maximum width of the body at the short end should be no more than 41mm
    - Analog.
    - Sans serif numbers. Plain and readable.
    - Sane straight arms, kinda like the Timex Weekend Tachymeter watch (I tried to link to an image but kept being yelled at about the domain)
    - Small screen with the following:
    - Stopwatch
    - Vibration alarm (once a day is sufficient)
    - Setting date easier than having to rotate 24hours to advance a day.

    ## Nice but optional things to have

    - Backlight
    - Does not require battery replacement (self-charging by movement or solar power)

If anyone has suggestions or pointers in any direction, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm curious, which criterion/a do you think are the least likely to be found with the rest?

[a benign word that is censored and I'd rather not have that silly emoticon]. That Certina pretty much ticks off all the boxes. I would actually wear that, and I'm very picky. The price however... Quoted on one site at $955,72.
I know I said assume money wasn't an issue, and that was because I knew my criteria were already prohibitive. If I can't find anything else, I may seriously save for that one.
    Thanks mr.hauser.

    Happy to help. =)

I was pretty certain there was no watch that would match your criteria so I went searching and I was amazed to find that. Great looking watch, but I agree, pretty :censored: expensive.

However... I recently got "the one" watch that ticked off pretty much everything I wanted, and I sold a bunch of other watches and random stuff to fund it. I went from rotating between about 5 watches to never having to choose since this one watch does everything I want.

    It's a nice feeling.

(my watch is the suunto core brushed steel)

Its the Certina DS Multi-8 Style #3.

Link blocker on this forum is not allowing the direct link, and my workaround post using the code function was deleted.

I was replying to mr.hauser's link to it, which seems to have been removed since then. It was just a link to the Certina site which doesn't even sell the watch.
    Certina DS MULTI-8

    All black.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it doesn't fit the bill in a couple of areas. 43mm is getting too big, and I wouldn't be able to wear it everyday, while working, to bed, etc. And I am wary of these new smart watches that try to do too much and integrate with my phone and dishwasher. Battery life of 6 days at best is a deal breaker.

It saddens me that some really good Casio models seem to be discontinued or very difficult to find. If I could find it, I'd get the WVQ500LA-1A2V. Brown Wave Ceptor with nice classic-looking face and excellent set of features. 40mm width.
Does anyone know where I can find older models like that one?

Maybe they are trying to take over the world, prevented in doing so only by their short battery life.
