Can anyone recommend a good small pocket notebook? I like the field notes but I am looking for something just a bit smaller than that. Maybe an inch shorter but with the same quality as the field notes. Slim and not hardbound as I will be carrying it in my rear pocket. You guys got any suggestions?

    Thank you!

Slim or not ? Rhodia has many formats but thicker than field notes.

If slim; Field notes +your basic office paper cutter = small fieldnotes!!

IIrc you should be able to cut half an inch of the top and bottom (and ad much as you like from the side) before you start to get into the staples. Or you can always cut off an entire staple and re-staple ;)

Slim would be nice. One that would bend easily as I want to place it in my rear pocket.

Well, moleskine makes a notebook thats one step smaller. I think their regular pocket size is the same overall dimensions as fieldnotes but they also sell a 'extra small' version thats 65x105mm (roughly 2.55 by 4.14 inches). Not sure if theres a soft-cover version of those tho.

The new Rite-in-the-Rain side stapled mini books would suit you, most likely....3-1/4 x 4-5/8 inches. They're only 12 sheets (24 pgs) and come in a 3-pack and available in 4 different colors, if memory serves.

Yeah, I've seen the volant. However, they don't sell moleskins from where I am from. I have to get them off eBay and shipping costs around $20 for them. lol.

:censored: dude if they ain't got a Target where your from you might be buying a lot of things mail order :) check out jetpens or europeanpaper have lower shipping costs but a lot from both maybe see some other cool stuff make the shipping more worth the effort but I would say most nifty EDC stuff u gotta mail order hence cost of shipping is cost of getting that exact product you want
