Thanks Freestyle, but I'm looking for a backpack with two shoulder straps, not a waist pack.

Ditto the Maxpedition Pygmy Falcon II. Trust Powernoodle on this one. Just get it.

Diamondback Tactical 3 Day Assault Pack is a great bag, it looks a lot smaller than it is, so it can hold what you need to without looking dumb while it's empty. I've been using it as my EDC for quite some time now. It's a great pack IMO.

After some extensive research, I've decided on the Maxpedition Pygmy Falcon II! The 5.11 RUSH 12 was a strong alternative, but I disliked the color options and the less attractive looks.

I ordered from OpticsPlanet.net because they had the lowest price I've found....dirt bags emailed me saying it was Out of Stock without letting me know beforehand. Great way to trick customers into ordering anyway.

Have you looked on Ebay? You can find good prices there on New.

Price I have currently is $76 shipped. Lowest on eBay is $80 shipped USPS. The biggest issue is I need UPS shipping, I can't receive USPS where I am.

If you would consider something non-tactical, you might try many of the very good hydration packs around and take out the water bag:

Take a look at the LL Bean Carryall Daypack. A low profile, well organized ,comfortable small daypack. About 900cu. in. The only drawback is the smallish water bottle pockets. Its on-sale too.
