I don't even know where to begin looking, I have lots of stuff in an altoids tin however the tin gets banged up and replaced monthly. I'm looking for something plastic around the altoids tin size up to three inches wide, five inches long and up to two inches thick. The tin is in a small tool pouch I wear on my belt.
Pelican is indeed a very good choice. Otterbox is another great one. If you want something great and inexpensive, look at some Lock & Lock food containers. You can get them at Walmart or Ebay. They are available in many sizes and model, shock proof, dust proof and water resistant. I would not consider them water proof however.
Countycomm has their own "Altoids tin" which is 2x thicker I can attest that is is very strong. Here's mine:
Search for "waterproof box" on eBay, under $2 in the sporting goods category and among other styles, you'll find Witz-style knockoffs in transparent and opaque colors. Cheap enough that you wouldn't mind replacing them every year or so. Only thing is they're shipped from China, so expect to wait 2-3 weeks.
I've owned a couple of these and can say they fit the bill for me well. Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
OTOH, if you regularly use Altoids, (I carry a tin in the car), a replacement is just naturally going to be available on a regular basis at essentially no cost! YMMV L'chaim! Moshe ben David
