Hey everyone, I came across the term EDC the other day whilst looking for a hard-wearing travel bag on Amazon. After watching numerous youtube reviews I finally ended up purchasing the Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack in Safety Yellow and can't wait to receive it! Whilst researching the bag, the term EDC kept on popping up. I then thought that it would be a good idea to see what everyone was talking about. I soon realized that the whole preparedness concept that one associates with EDC is something that I already practiced! I always thought of myself beings bit silly, over preparing for situations that rarely happen but those few times when I had just the thing on me to help solve a problem justified my, what I felt was slightly OC, behavior. To now find that I am not alone is not only refreshing but also expensive! After seeing numerous EDC set-ups I felt compelled to revisit my gear and update. Living in Europe makes the availability of many things a bit difficult or costly to source but slowly and surely I will come up with a set-up I am happy with and share! I am not a tactical/military type girl. I grew up in Toronto, Canada and moved to Sweden via a 6 year stint in the UK. I love pockets and gadgets and all things small and cute. Whilst cute and colorful may not feature in the usual EDC set-up (save perhaps the odd survival piece of kit that is brightly colored), I feel that my future set-up will at least be adequate for my needs. I would consider myself more of an urban survivalist with a focus on female specific emergencies! Glad to join your community and Hopefully I'll be able to share my set-up with you soon!
