You can see my small toolkit in my avatar:

Levenger Safety Case (modeled on the cases knitting machine mechanics used to use for their tools)

    - Byrd Harp Tool
    - Niwa camera tool kit
    - metric hex key set (since upgraded to Felo ball end and a Bondhus holder)
    - Imperial hex key set (Bondhus Brightguard)
    - assorted small bits

I've since overstuffed it w/ a pair of Fix-it-Sticks and pinning on a Mininch Toolpen Mini clone.

Matched up w/ more tools in my EDC bag:

Where are he Knipex pliers from? Almost looking for a decent bit set with driver. LM quality isn’t the best.

Not sure which model it is ... but I'm pretty sure it's from the KNIPEX (German manufacturer) water pump Cobra series ... link

I carry a (small) Cobra (125mm length) in my EDC tool kit - unbelievable what this small pliers can do!

FYI: i opted against a multi-tool (Leatherman, Victorinox, etc.) as I found myself several times that I needed to work with more than one tool at a time. So I stay with separate (but small) tools like mini ratchet and mini pliers, etc. and a set of 1/4" bits. More weight and space but so much more capable, IMHO.

For everything smaller my Victorinox Manager SAK does the job - anything larger I need to get my real craftsman tools - when at home.

My first thought reading this thread is "man. if I only knew about all these EDC pouches / pocket organizers back when I was a field engineer".
My second thought is, I could actually still take advantage of this, all though it won't improve my life as much as it would have back in the day.
These days I'm in the process of moving to a new office, so packing up all my stuff I really notice how many tools are just free floating around my office. Even though I don't need to bring any of it anywhere on a regular basis, some organization wouldn't hurt.

...and these are just the hand tools :frantic:
