    Love the P-38, Sears 4-way, and paperclips.
    I've carried a P-38 for most of my life. That, and a pocket knife were my multitool option. The P-38 was my screwdriver, scraper, quick-hit knife, poker, and prybar (besides opening tuna cans at lunch). Years ago I had a Sears 4-way screwdriver and just bought another for my wallet. I also used a paperclip just yesterday to get PlayDo out from under my nails after playing with my daughter.

    I've also carried a Classic SD for decades and still do. Your set up is very similar to mine.

    Sometimes, old school is good.

    Now that's a small carry case. Love it. Does the Classic stay in there?

    I funded the EDCPen.
    I gt an aluminum one as its lightest.
    Its a decent pen to clip on a keychain (maybe a bit long for that) or a bag. Takes Fisher refills.
    I will check out his projects as well.

    Yeah, I got mine via Uncle Sam and my time in service. They still had the C-rations back then, and you'd starve without an opener. I think I've used the P-38 for a screw driver, phillips driver (using the square bottom corner) awl, scraper, mini pry tool for opening the lid of a can of Plastic wood putty, and more. Now it rides in my wallet, and it even goes through the TSA airport security. I just put my wallet in the tray, and it goes right on through. I used the P-38 last summer on a flight back from Oregon. A bottle of wine came with a very heavy foil wrap on the top and we couldn't get to the twist cap. I took the P-38 out of the wallet, and used it to slit the metal foil so I could open the darn bottle. I love my P-38.

    As much as I love my P-38, I love my Vic classic! The function for the small size is outstanding. The SD tip of the nail file works on all the small phillps screws that hold the world together these days. I have to admit, for 99% of my use, the little classic gets it done. I even used it to replace the door latch on the clothes drier. I went down to look over the job to see what tools I needed from the tool kit in the workshop out back. I saw the door was held together by two phillips screws on each side, so I just used the SD nail file tip to take the door apart and replace the latch.

    Small tools that actually work are a treasure.

    Add to this a mobile, keys and a wallet then this is my minimal EDC.
    The tin I picked up at a Job Fair and did contain mints; you can see what I've fitted in it now.

    I carry this now as part of my full EDC during the week, but over the weekend it's my main EDC I will also carry a Leatherman Sidekick, sometimes may also carry my Boker Magnum...

    * TEC P-7 Suspension Clip
    * Cold Steel Micro Recon 1
    * Leatherman Squirt PS4
    * Leatherman Brewzer
    * TEC Centipede
    * TEC Pico Pen
    * County Comm 3" Micro Pry Bar
    * Chipped Car Key
    * House and Wife's spare car key

    [IMG]

    Plus I always have
    * Paracord bracelet
    * Galaxy Gear during the week
    * G-Shock over the weekend

    I posted this over in the Show us your EDC thread, this was yesterday's carry to the shops.. This is VERY minimalistic for me when I normally carry a Skinth Magnum which has a Leatherman Surge, Fenix E12, Ontario Rat M2, CC Pocket 4" Pry Bar, Bit Card, Bit Extender and a small number 6 wrench. Plus the key chain and then the Boker Magnum and Leatherman Sidekick.

    [IMG]

    Was actually pleased with the carry and didn't feel out of place with out the Magnum on...

    From left to right, orange handkerchief (just the color pulled out of the pile that day), H1 Tasman, Truck Key, Boker VAT, Nano, Nitecore whistle, safety pin, Mantis Picker II knife (I added some JB weld because the sheath notoriously cracked, again)...

    Watch: Seiko Black Monster 2nd Gen
    Wallet: Tom Bihn
    Pen: Zebra F-701
    Notebook: Folded minimalist notebook (using just a piece of copy paper). This along with my pen are my favorite items.
    Keys: The key chain that I use is from Backerton. I keep my usual keys on there, and a SAK Classic.
    Phone

    I have other items, but this is my minimalist carry. I might add something small like a Photon to my key chain, but other than that I don't see this changing much. If I want other things I might get a MaxPed Micro pocket organizer, but this would be in my bag. I would hate to a. wear cargo pants and b. carry a lot of stuff.
