Dang it! I saw your post and immediately raced over to their website to see if they offered a discount to EMS as well. Unfortunately for me it appears to only be military and law enforcement
Hmmm. This thread has me thinking about selling my new knife and buying an esee 6. Good thing the better half doesn't know.
I've been wanting an Esee knife for years, but have balked at the price. Sold some of my unused gear in the BST section in the last couple of weeks and finally felt like I could justify buying an Esee from those funds. I went back and forth on 3 vs 4 and on color choice. I had fully intended on getting a black blade 3 Mil. But when it came time to place the order, a desert tan Esee 4 won out. Got it in the mail today and I'm so stoked. This knife is awesome! Great job on those sheaths! I've been wanting to start playing Kydex and this is making me more motivated to take the plunge.
AK Adventurer, loving my scales. I'm surprised at how well they have held up in daily submerges in ocean water. The salt have raised the grain on the wood witch creates a better bare handed purchase. Thanks again sir. ManVsLawn, let's see your grips compliments of AK. I bet you are as pleased as I am.
GREAT to hear they're working out so well for ya! Funny you should mention MVLs set, I had a Big FUBAR type happening that I finally got worked out, and his are going into the mail Monday afternoon.
I'm loving the fact you take that knife for Salt water baths - Mine will start seeing those, soon. BTW, Puinsai - what'd you do to the finish of the IZULA to make it look that way? Is it 'patina'? I'm assuming that helps with the rust resistance of the blade, sort of like the original coating that comes on the knives. TIA. Sweet. Anxiously awaiting them. I've had my Izula out of the rotation for quite some time. He needs to come play with me, again.
I really like this knife but have never had an opportunity to put it to hard use. I was impressed......after batoning thru this very dry log several times all the way down and making some tinder the darn thing was still shaving with no damage except a little wear on the finish.
