I just upgraded my ESEE 4 with the G10 scales from the knife connection making an already great knife even better. What a difference in the hand.
Anyone have pics of the ESEE 3 in hand? I have an Izula but I'm looking for something to add to my Army chest rig...
Nothing special, but my first neck knife (and I'm enjoying this mode of carry ). Still researching, but as far as I can tell, it is NYC safe as well. Will have to remember to leave my keychain Spyderco Ladybug and Vic Spirit MT at home though - go figure .
So far my only ESEE. This gets quite a bit of carry rotation time. It's a great size for EDC. For me personally, the custom sheath that I had Arch Ronin make for it, makes a ton of difference. Very convenient and versatile. I also appreciate how customizable the Izula is in general. One of those knives that everyone can easily make their own. Sent from my place in the universe.
Just one, but such a nice blade.. Izula in the wild by edcforum, on Flickr Knives by edcforum, on Flickr Izula by edcforum, on Flickr
It's a great size for chest rigs or when in the field, I'll rig it next to my sidearm on my leg-drop holster. Either option will work well. It's not an overly big Kabar nor a tiny Izula that might have problems with bigger stuff in the field (I do love my Izula as a neck knife).
Awesome, exactly what I needed. Thanks Marine! PS: Clip point or non-clip point? The likely hood of me stabbing someone as a DM is very small. And how are ESEE serrations? I usually go with plain edge for easy field sharpening.
If you don't think you're going to have to stab someone or work with meat, then I would say non-clip point. It's also safer if you have to lend it to someone else. Do get the glass-breaker on the back though. It doesn't hurt to have it there and you never really know.
First came the Izula. Closely followed by the Three. Finally picked up an Izula 2 on a trade not long ago. Now I have the hankering for an ESEE 6 and a 4. Between infinite wants and finite resources and having a few other sharps that need the new knocked off of them first, it may take a while to be able to pick up either one of those two though.
