I'm in the UK and I bought the bag and the pouches new, we get f***** over here in Europe when out comes to buying quality American kit. If I want some TAD gear then I have no choice then to pay waaaaay over the odds for it.
My point was that I was willing to pay over the odds for what I thought would be the be all and end all of bags. It wasn't and I had to buy the pouches because of the bag's lack of internal organisation which set me back even more. Yes, you are absolutely right, nobody forced me to spend the money on that bag but remember my experience is based on being a UK edc'er so maybe I should have clarified that.

Even at the rrp TAD gear is still more about style then function and like I said previously there is nothing wrong with that it is just a matter of preference and opinion. For the record the fast pack is a good looking bag but I have a wife and hungry credit cards to feed so I have to watch my cash flow vs need ratio.

I put the Litespeed in my cart and then removed it about a dozen times today. Part of me really wants it (I desperately need something bigger than my Maxped Lunada) and part of me says to hold out and buy the EDC. I guess the worst case scenario is that I try out out and don't like it, and then sell it and recoup most of my money. Of course tax time is close, so maybe I just wait and spring for the EDC...

Callforfire - what are the extra darker colored buckles on the beavertail nylon used for? (Not the web dominators) good looking pack by the way also!

Just an experiment in strap management. Dremeled a few 1" tri-glides into split bar tri-glides so I could slip them on to keep excess strap out of the way. I had them more centered originally, like a web dominator without the shock cord. Also works great for keeping the tail adjusted. Next time I order hardware I'm going to grab a bunch of split bar/ sternum strap tri-glides, just to clean things up. In the end I moved them because I use the web dominators to hold other things, so since they are there anyway I stuck the strap under them.

LITESPEED arrrived today as the little brother to the EDC. It's supposed to have been used but I can discern zero signs of any such thing. So far they're getting along...but I may crate them tonight... (and I may have to break it to them that the EDC may now be surplus.)

Update: EDC has gone to a new owner, it was too strappy for me. The Litespeed feels like it was made for me and is my new EDC/overnight default bag.

I'm keeping the Rush 24 as my travel/grocery bag and who-knows-what else. But the Litespeed is special..

Amazon or ebay, not sure which. Reminds me I need to get a smallish serenity patch and one that says
"This needs to be more sonic".

Love those packs. Could you tell us which pouches you have for each of your packs?
    Thanks a bunch.

There was a USN gathering for the first Plaza Cutlery knife show in Hawaii several years back. I won it when they were giving out prizes. I think its made by somebody on that forum. There's apparently something called the "titaniac's guild" or something like that.

For my packs I have on each an OP1 organizer, an iComm pouch for phones/pda's on the right shoulder strap. And both packs have the RP1 pouch. (TAD no longer makes the RP1 for some reason and only cloners ironically are the only ones who have them) Internally, both have the molle panel and the hanging admin panel. Both also have the Tactical Tailor 1V pouch.

    Where they differ:

EDC Pack has a TAD GPP1 pouch and BC4 pouch.

Litespeed has two TAD BC8 pouches, a GPP2 pouch, Kifaru mini-long pocket and Kifaru GPS pouch.

I can't think of any other EDC bags of mine that I could go from the office to hauling logs in...

It sure made my day easier collecting up firewood and hauling is back a few hundred meters to our fire pit.
