I was getting ready to make nachos for dinner this evening, when I discovered that our pampered chef can opener just didn't have what it takes to open the giant can of cheese sauce that I picked up at Sam's club. Fortunately, I happened to be carrying my Leatherman Surge. I got to finally try out the can opener tool, which I figured I'd never actually use. It made pretty quick work if this kid, which was a pleasant surprise.

+1! I've done the same thing more times than I thought I ever would, using a SAK Fieldmaster that lives in the kitchen.... :)

    L'chaim!

Yep, I've ended up using the Vic SAK one a couple of times in anger. Handy.

    Glad your dinner was saved!

Given the title, I thought the story would be a bit more epic than that.

I've had to use a Swisstool to fix a flakey cooking station at a Japanese restaurant so they didn't have to move our entire party. I could mentally see my sister rolling her eyes behind my back (she's had to suffer through my pocket dumps at TSA checkpoints and federal buildings). :rolleyes_revamped:.
