HF's LM PST 1 & II & Mini Tool Comparison Each of the cutting board squares is 1cm or about 3/8” long. HF's EDC Thread ...
I have 2 arriving today to check them out! How they're as good as the video (even though there's a bit of play in there)...
Going thru my fishing gear I haven’t touched in years and found this. Always a nice surprise when you don’t remember buying it. It’s like a present to yourself. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nice modern Bond piece interestingly contrasted with a PST. Thanks for sharing dmattaponi. On the Bond, are you noticing just the blade tip might too easily find it's way out of the handle housing from the stored position?
Yes, my blade has the same issue being talked about by others, BUT I really don’t think it’s as much of an issue as people are saying…as long as one is aware of the possibility, and thoughtfully opens the tool, I don’t think they are in danger of cutting themself. Also the blade can’t come out when gripping the opened handles. It doesn’t come out on my example under normal use. If you turn it upside down and shake it hard it will come out, but not with just normal movement of the tool. Otherwise after that initial blade play, the blade then is under a lot of tension…takes some amount of effort to pull it the rest of the way up…locks into open position firmly, and snaps back hard into closed position when closing the blade. Just to be sure I put a little 1mm by 4mm magnet in the liner to keep the blade in place. I do think Leatherman should have done a better job on this specific aspect of the Bond but I was willing to take a chance and buy one because it is such a nice tool otherwise. are the laws there so severe as to prevent something like a SAK? ( I know this is a leatherman thread but I was just interested) to me an Alox SAK is a real knife for most tasks.
My first and only choice as for full-size MT, ST300. Wish they had switched the medium flat screwdriver for a flat bit holder (as they did with Charge), but you know... you can't have the whole toolset in such a small room.
Same situation here in Italy. No matter of size (neither a Spy Bug, just for example), you simply CAN'T carry a blade without a "precise reason" (...). Laws can be really weird sometimes. But are Laws.
No offense. Weird laws, but laws as i said. About communism... better i don't talk about it, this isn't the right place.
