Cool!! I've never seen one before.
You might want to look here for all versions of the PST. There were actually 3 versions made in Japan.
Leatherman PST chronology project
Mine USA made.
My two new Leathermans- engraved with my initials from my GF and the skeletool CX is engraved with my username (birthday present to myself)
I'm quoting you just to say that is a ROCKIN profile pic!
I may have missed it, but I noticed a number of tools painted another color. VERY, very cool! are the tools taken apart then painted? and with a particular type of paint? found at local Lowe's/Home Depot?
My Leathermen (and some flashlights):
LM SuperTool 200
LM Knifeless Fuse
LM SuperTool 300
Swiss Rescue Tool
Pocket Tool X Piranha (thank you KeyeEl)
generic focusable aspheric (1xAA)
Not pictured are the LM Core I keep in the toolbox in the back of the Element (didn't want to go out in 34 degrees to get it just for the pic), the Style I forgot to take off my keys for the pic, and the Fenix P1D that my girlfriend is borrowing until she finds her L0D.
It is a coating process called Certakote, often used to finish firearms. Check out these threads:
OK, is it me or does the styling and shape of this thing scream Transformers, mid 1980s?
It instantly made me think Destructicon. Lol...
And, I hadn't noticed before, but the design cast into the handles is of what tool is in that space, pretty neat.
Anyone got a pic of one of these next to a Wave, or Surge? It looks awfully big and boxy but its hard to tell how bad it is on its own...
I'll try and get a pic next to the Wave tonight for ya.
The OHT is significantly more blocky when both are closed, but the difference becomes smaller when the pliers are deployed (since a lot of the plier is hidden in the OHT). I absolutely love the spring action pliers and the sliding deployment of the OHT, can't stop playing with it!
One of my Christmas presents and I'm very pleased with it so far!
My babies!! I don't want to have too many then they wont get used enough!
1000thanks! looking into it...
I love my wingman!!!
