Google "Panatime" and also "Crown & Buckle" - they have great stuff.

I bought (stocked up) all my NATO strap hardware at C&B, but I used to buy all of my Pre-V and thumbnail buckles at Panatime. I have been using a bunch of them for the past 6-7 years on daily straps, and haven't had an issue.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy from either. Hope this helps!

Edit: I don't know what you're expecting to pay, but $10-20 for a *quality* buckle is the going rate (and has been). You can try your hand at making your own, as I know some have done in the past, but that's why a lot of strapmakers offer their work with the choice of adding a buckle.

Thanks Crew. Of course thickness, type of metal, finish factor in, I just feel that some of the prices I've seen for a buckle are inflated for what they are; basically a piece of stamped steel. However, some of the buckles on the sites you referenced are quite reasonable. I guess I should have jumped on their Black Friday sales and stocked up. Also,I didn't notice any nato hardware (rings) on either site; bummer.

I'll look in my past contacts, I think I emailed C&B directly and we worked out a deal (again, I bought in bulk).

I'll be back if I find anything!

Made a holder for my Lansky Puck sharpener so it won't be rubbing up against the inside of my backpack. Can't decide if I want to add a strap over the top or not, it's pretty secure as is.

Very nice! Something you might consider would be a strap and snap around the outside edge, like this old camera lens tele-converter case.

I was thinking about something like that today! But I just got a new watch and it came in this water tight tube and the stone and case fits perfectly in the bottom so I may go that route

I am not skilled with the tooling, so this is how I do almost all my flourish/art! Nice work!

Just put a leather over swing protector on my new small forest axe. I think it came out pretty good and the leather dye closely matches the stock mask.

Just finished this unusual sheath up for a buddy (he buys blanks and makes the handles).

The hook made it really awkward on the draw, but the thickness of the handle was the biggest hurdle.

Ecstatic about how it came out!! 4 pieces of thick latigo required punching the holes with a fork and then drilling out with a small dremel.

Bought myself a steel water bottle for Xmas, added a kangaroo wrap to the bottle and lid loop (to quiet it down). Very happy with EDC.

I made a minimal wallet for myself with room for folded cash, coins, and a few cards. I didn't put a liner on it, trying to make it as slim as possible, but I think it looks a little ratty. I used Tan-Kote to smooth the fibers on the interior but it's still rough. Next time I would add a liner, it wouldn't make that much difference to the thickness. The most fun was dying the leather.

A natural oil finish with Neatsfoot oil should lighten up to a nice saddle tan later .

I made a wet-formed pouch for some essentials in the bedside table of my guest room. It holds a SAK Compact, Fenix E01, and Leatherman Squirt Ps4. This is my first attempt at wet forming. I didn't use a mold, just worked it with my fingers. It came out kind of crude but it holds the items securely, keeps them from rolling around in the drawer.

Dubbs, that looks pretty good. I must ask, though... Why do you you keep these in the bedside table of your guest room?

Also may I be a guest at your house?

Did you find it difficult to do? I have no leatherwork or seeing experience whatsoever so don't want to pour a lot of money into makers tools, but I've fancied giving it a go for quite some time.
