It's official - MOLLE and PALS are no longer the sole province of the tactical and would-be tactical.

Saw this from Nike while headed to the local bookstore.

Pretty sure it's not the only Nike bag sporting PALS channels out there, but I can't find anything else on the website.

Last summer I saw a guy with a Nike Skating pack (click here for some pics, it's the blue one in the middle). It's sort of disguised PALS, but of course it's immediately obvious if you know what it is.

If it can allow the user to get more functionality out of their backpack, that's cool. If they just wonder "What are all these things?" well, c'est la vie.

I bet they're working on a version of the Baby Bjorn that uses PALS/MOLLE attachments to affix the baby to the carrier. It gives a whole new meaning to "quick release".

Well the civilian world have benefited from solutions developed for military use before. I just hope This is part of a product range rather then just a one off.

Nice but is Nike going to design pouches to attach to the molle or was it designed just for the look?

The So-Tech Go bag was originally a Nike bag that someone took to So-Tech and asked if they could make a version out of it.

    +1

"I've never tried their product but they suck."
    Propaganda for the win.

The backpack looks ok, but the last Nike pack I had back in the day was not made well and barely lasted a year.

I added a small pouch to mine. With a screaming and or drooling infant strapped to your chest, it's often nice to have a few things at hand!

Funnily enough, on Monday I saw a guy on a bus in Central London wearing a Nike pack with webbing on it, it did make me smile! [IMG]

This is funny. Adidas' ethics around worker welfare have also been criticized as well, just like most huge corporations. Plus, i'm pretty sure that most adidas shoes are not made in Germany any more.

You probably haven't seen the Nike SB Backpacks...I saw a basketball player in my class with one and I was surprised it was from Nike. It comes in a bunch of other colors also.
