@Gary Weinheimer: Heh heh. You've got company! I come into the house via the garage. But from that entry point to the family room, especially at night, I either proceed by turning on successive lights, 'feeling' my way through the dark, or using a flash light... flash light wins!

I've been lounging around at home with not much in my pockets, but I was glad that I did have my keys. My mom shattered a glass pie plate inside a deep drawer full of various baking pans and the Fenix E05 (old single mode) on my keys did a good job illuminating the inside of the drawer to spot all the glass shards so I could remove them. And yes, I did do my favorite gross thing and stick my flashlight in my mouth so I could use both hands to work.

Under the changing table to find a little poop-pebble that escaped my 2yo's diaper...

 

Today is was the toilet tank to fix a clog. Why is always poop related?

 

The Mary poppins bag of my girlfriend... she lives outskirts, practically in the woods, and we lost the house keys inside the all purpose and all contain bag ..

Cries out for one of those RFID type tags you can now get to help locate 'lost keys' etc. I'm thinking of the ones sold to the consumer/retail market called 'Tile'; 'there's an APP for that'.

Probably involved rental car in a dark garage, either inspecting the outside for damage before I accepted, or looking for the power port for my power adapter.

 

Just used my Zebralight to search the attic for a tree stand and various plastic tubs and boxes of Christmas ornaments. "Bah Humbug!"

 

The inside of the coffee maker I was fixing.

 

Leaky sink under the vanity cabinet in the bathroom. With sub-freezing temperatures at night I'm running a water trickle to avoid freezing pipes. And discovered a leak messing up the inside of the cabinet. AAAARRRRGGGHHH!

I used my old model Fenix E05 to look for something in my wife's car trunk about four days ago.

 

Checking under the stairs in an open home

 

I lit up some snow this evening.... Lots and lots of snow.

 

Every am and pm I have to use a flashlight to walk our Yorkie.

 

The last time I used a light was this morning getting ready for work while trying to pick a light from my vast collection to carry as EDC light for today

 

Lighting up the labels on the Christmas bins in the unlit corner of the basement to find which of the collection (Wife loves Christmas and we have many many decorations) needed to be brought up.... adding another light in that part of the basement has been on the too do list for the last 8 years. Probably would be done by now if I did not always have a flashlight in my pocket.
