Did you ever get a book?
Here's a lanyard I did tonight
Not yet still trying to work on the simpler stuff for now. But it is on my wish list
I know what you mean about "going too fast" on some of the YouTube videos. That's where I learned how, but there are several knots I'd like to learn. I wish there was a nearby class I could go to.
Where did you get the bead?
He makes them.
not absolutely so. they are done by my good friend
Updated the lanyard that my custom Nuclear Native Villain is on. Now with a GITD piece of paracord, using some small GITD o-rings to keep the lanyard flipping too far forward where it could interfere with the blade closing, Matthew Walker knot, and two GITD beads on the "tassels" to make it more Native American-y.
Where do you get your GITD o rings Q? The only ones i can find are £1 each, bit of a rip off for a small piece of rubber imo
Awesome lanyard for an awesome knife by the way!
Thanks! As for the O-rings, I got them from LightHound.com. They were $0.25 USD each. I'm not sure how the international shipping situation is with them, but they have a ton of different sizes. These are the 1/4" ones, which are just a touch too large. I actually superglued them to the paracord so they wouldn't slide. The next size down that they stock (3/16") would be a much better fit. They also have a great selection of paracord at pretty good prices, and it's sold by the foot with no minimum amount of feet required. I got a foot length of a few colors just to sample the colors.
Great thanks, I'll have a look there. While I'm at it I may as well order some paracord, I hate having to order in 100' lengths when I'm only making a couple of lanyards!
Make sure you look around the whole site. They have a lot of interesting goodies. Beads, flashlight accessories, GITD things, split rings, battery carriers, etc.
Which color of paracord is that? That looks like it'd go well with my Psychadelic villains. I'm working on some ideas for my keychain.
Apologies for the slight derail (and possible shameless plug) but feel free to check here in the future. Maybe someone will have the color you're looking for next time?
Looks like rainbow to me. Got some from MedicInTraining in a trade, all the way from Aussie land, with a postcard too!
I got it from supply captain and it's called "Dark Stripes" I love this one I can send you a few feet if you'd like.
Oh, did they add new colours again? Been trying to avoid visiting. There's always so many colours that look nice to have but trying not to hoard the stuff. Not the most organized, all the paracord just goes into a big bag in bundles.
That would be awesome if you have a couple of feet to spare I'll pay a couple of bucks for it and shipping
