picked up a few of the brass compression sleeves at ACE. now can anyone tell me where i can find brass split rings and clips? i saw the usual assortment of clips but theyre too big for a lanyard. would like to have all matching hardware if possible.

I uploaded a short video on tying a 'reinforced ring hitch'. It's a little more secure with gripping around a ring, and doesn't get slack or loosen as easy as the common ring hitch/cow hitch/lark's head. This hitch can be found in 'The Ashley Book of Knots' as #1863.

The most recent knot book I bought(for my b-day) was John Shaw's 'The Directory of Knots'. I used the easy to follow diagrams to try tying a few of the knots that I thought looked good for paracord lanyard use: 'Gibbet' and 'Ichabod', both sliding loop type knots, 'Arms-Akimbo' lanyard knot, and a fixed loop 'Broach' knot.

I tied some 'loose' versions of the Gibbet, Ichabod, Arms-Akimbo knots, and the Broach Loop that some might find useful for following the path of the cord, coming from the top, to try tying them... If the image seems too small, you can use your keyboard's Ctrl and +/- keys to change the size on your screen. ;)

made this thing, prolly going to take it apart, not really sure what i would use it for, monkeys fist type device maybe? the circle is a bronze bullring so it would be effective i guess. also changed the beads on the whistle to some bronze/brass i dug out of my moms beading supplies.
