Benchmade AFO II in westworld
I kind of cringed a little when she was prying at that board with the AFO.
PRY WITH A BEATER, NOT A $250 KNIFE!
Dont worry, if they can 3d print complete near perfect looking human people that knife will be a fake too (or else it would be an antique making the prying an even worse crime).
WHAT new McGyver show?

Don't get too excited over it.

Well then, this one is about tv shows or movies but I'd like to know if someone can ID a knife from a game.
Got it from an article about the upcoming Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.
Maybe it's just a persian folder but it's looking Schempp-y to me.
Of course the pins might be only there because its 3D model is easier to make but the handle is looking unusual, too.
Would be really interesting to see more of it.
Looks to me the blade might have trouble folding into that handle, its a bit of an odd shape... one would almost think the point would stick out when closed. What makes you think its an existing model?
From another angle it looks like the blade would fit fine, but even allowing for perspective, it looks like the handle is too large for the blade. It looks like the blade tip would end (when folded) near the junction of the scale and rear bolster, but you would have a lot of dead space behind that.
It also looks like ALL the pins sit "proud." The lockback release also looks all kinds of fugly. Apologies whoever did the work.
It looks like they have once again decided to take a show, reboot it, and slide everyone's age downwards to accommodate a particular demographic. The RDA McGyver never used a gun, but that aversion seems to have been lost in the reboot. The new Mac doesn't carry his own gun, but has no problems picking one up and killing someone with it.
@indigo_wolf: Thanks. I think I like the premise of the original show better. I'm definitely feeling like my Father!

just realized the benchmade from westworld was already posted
Just watched a true life show about homicide detective Joe Kenda and the murder weapons in two separate episodes where Spyderco blades one a serrated Endura. Maybe cause the show is set in Colorado Springs, Colorado is why the criminals have an abundance of Spyderco's?

I saw a leatherman charge AL or ALX, maybe even a Signal in the latest series of Sherlock.
I know that manufacturers like to get product placement in TV and movies; but I'd think Spyderco might not want their product(s), as distinctive as they are, associated with homicides? At least if I were them I'd say thanks but no thanks...

Another season of 24 started after the best superbowl ever and Brady s drive for 5 rings.
Bad guy in 1st episode has a Spyderco.
They didn't seem to have many problems with the Spyderco Harpy being used by Hannibal Lecter in the movie Hannibal . There's a thread on the Spyderco forum of their knives used in movies.... some involving murder and mayhem.
I was going to mention this. And they used a Harpy in the tv show as well.
Queen Of The South has several knives.
A parang is used by a corrupt cop to chop of a hand.
Pote (a Sicario - killer) has a Byrd in several episodes.
