Looks like an RC-4
Yep, its an RC-4
I textured the scales of my se military.
Added an Ivory Scale to an AG Russel Italian Tactical
some Bokers some of which if not all were modded by EDCF's very own "potterma"
as you can see I'm a big fan of glow in the dark
Those CLB knives are AWESOME!!!
Nice job on those CLB knives
I love knife mod threads!
I wish I had some awesome pictures to share, but I don't, so you will all have to settle for the following:
From Top to Bottom:
1) Caly3 (unmodified)
2) UKPK with jryan76 custom grind - not Anso-style, more like kudu horn
3) Para with tip-up, left-hand, wire clip mod
4) GITD SAK Huntsman - not sure if a scale swap counts as a mod or not, but it's great upgrade, at least
Better view of the Para mod
Nice! What tool did you use for that?
Did you designed it some how or did you go as you feel it?
I did these with an normal hand file.
I just did it with no design.
Have done some before with a dremel but do like a hand file better.
Does the same job and is cheaper and easier with less risk off destroying the texture.
Those potterma customizations on the CLB knives are slick! I've admired those for years. Love the GITD ones.
Okay, I'll play..
here's my Micro-Manix. I've posted this over at Spydie forum earlier, but I'll post it here too, in case anyone is interested.
I used the wetgrinder to shape the blade. The cutting edge is 53mm long, less than 2,5 inches. total lengt, 16,3cm, just under 6,5 inches
For the handle, I first used the hacksaw, then dry grinding wheel, and then some sandpaper to shape the handle.
I used the original lanyard hole tube to keep the handle rigid, I just drilled a new hole, and used a small hammer to get the tube in place, and to have a tight fit, just like the original.
I tapped and drilled the clip, and used the standard Delica clip, the same one I had in place earlier, as you can see, it’s worn allready.
I might shape the blade some more, as well as the handle. Maybe I’ll grind the hump on the spine smaller, and more pointy tip. Maybe I’ll also shape the part above the lanyard hole.
ergo’s are just fine, I have smallish hands, so the grip is good, although tight. Anyone with larger hands might find the grip not so perfect. Then again, I made this to suit my personal needs.

Gayle Bradley mod to give full access to the Spydie hole and the liner lock. Done by Tom Krein.
Thats one of the most kooky-licious knives I've seen in a long time.
Really neat Spydie mods!
I'm modifying a Spyderco Tenacious, this is an ongoing project ..
Next will be some file work on the top of the blade and back of the handle ..
Then I plan to take all the 'sharp edges' off to give it a more finished feel then add a touch of distressing here and there ..
I also have a solid 'handle' idea instead of a lanyard on the drawing board to give it a Steampunk sort of heft (^;
Hopfully it turns out the way I in-vision it ..
I will update the progress ,)
BE WELL .. GH
Well thank you kindly Sir ;D;D
I like it... and it's one helluva performer, even if it's so small. I think Spyderco needs more small "built-like-a-tank" folders. :agree:
