Just curious what you guys (and gals) like best, and why. I have all kinds but my favorite remains the scandi. So what's yours?

For most things, full flat grind. Scandi is okay for whittling hardwood, but for most of the things I do I prefer something much thinner behind the edge.

I'm not a fan of hollow grind, but suits the sebenza.
    Makes it fantastic at slicing.

Mostly FFG, with a PE. I typically also have a backup with a SE which usually is a hollow grind. I also have a couple of knives that are chisel grind which tend to wicked sharp!

Most of my knife use has been opening envelopes and packages, so any grind is sufficient for that.

I dabble in bushcraft though and there tend to prefer convex grinds or full-flat grinds. I've got a Mora but never liked the scandi grind so I put a small secondary bevel on it.

Aesthetically I think flat-saber grinds are what blades 'should' look like, but that's just aesthetics; in the end I'm function over form.

my least-favorite is the hollow grind. I get that they're easier to mass-manufacture, and I've never had one break or chip, but the thinness behind the edge has always left me with the feeling that the blade is just fragile.

    Scandi first, then FFG.

Flat as the earth was pre Columbus!

    And thin is good too.

Hollow grind for Sebenzas really does work well. Full flat grind for other pocket knives (Endura 4 for instance) is great. For fixed blades (bushcraft etc.) then Scandi or FFG...

Really depends on the purpose of the knife but if I had to pick just one it would be flat

For my folders I like flat and my fixed blades I like convex done by Bark River knives. But I don't buy knives just for the grind, so I take what I get.
