not sure if this deserves a new thread on it's own, but it's something that i feel should be shared, and i try to do what i can to keep everyone informed.

    just received from KnifeCentre.

all i can say, ON POINT, if you know what i mean.

here's a teaser picture, had to head out for dinner, before i could snap some decent pictures.

EDIT: not sure why the thread was only posted awhile ago, thought i did that couple of hours back. anyways, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, though they're :censored: phone cam pictures.

    all pics are unedited

i just want to share the quality of the build and make and also to let you all know that, yes this blade is made in china. though they are
more known for rip offs, they are also capable of these, relatively high quality makes at really decent prices (paid $182), and they are not ripping off Tim Britton, i did my homework before putting in the money.

Looks great. been eyeballing these wondering how they are given the great price for the seemingly high specs. Can't wait to hear any further experiences.

I looked at the Titanium scaled Ki401. That's a shiny blade, thought it was more stonewashed.

    Looks good.

    ^^^^^^^^^^

yes, was thinking the same, thought it was a satin finish, but way shiner then i thought.

was hoping to get the knife apart, anyone has any suggestions on how to open the lockin screw on the blade?

[IMG]To me it's looking like simple cuts and a sunk middle which would make it perfect for a thin slotted screwdriver.
Nice solution by the way, make it look unique but no need for special tools like with Microtech or Enlan knives...

Weirdly, after going to 3 DIY stores, i still can't find one that will slot in.

and also any solution to a rounded torx screw?
might have just done that to the one on the clip, (noob)

I've used a EZout on stripped torx and allen head screws/bolts before with success.

    Amazing quality for the $$.

But be aware that, even though they have a U.S. presence, the amount of support if something goes wrong is still unknown.

My Kizer developed blade-play after a few weeks - and hate the proprietary pivot screw.

actually i'm not in the US, so either way, i'm :censored:ed, LoL...

but on the BH, the guys arereplying and sending out parts and stuff that some users need and require, just that there's a slight wait on them, as they don't hold spares where you are. but at least they are trying to sort people out.

I just recently 'found' the Kizer knives on eBay. The specs sound great, especially at the price point. I originally was looking at the Ki4403, but I'm really thinking about the Ki3404A3 now. Titanium frame n lock with a CPM-s35vn blade. They look like good, solid knives that might just hold up under use and abuse.

Please keep us up to date on your new knife as you break it in. Lookin' good . . .

I started reading about all that. Britton didn't ready do a very good job of convincing anyone of anything but being butthurt and potentially racist. I feel comfortable buying one of these now.

No, it's a quote from Sling Blade. He's actually saying Kaiser, but I just went for it, mmmhmmm.

I am leaning that way. I checked and most models are 3.5" blades and up. A tad large for my edc. But your pics are making it difficult to resist.

Nice. I do love the handles on the one you have. The PPT look to it.
