Wow that's a good haul for Christmas, well trained family!!
Thanks! Amazon wish list rocks!
Might have to give that a try, beats socks and smellies!
It worked out great. Load it up and let them decide, that way your are still surprised. My wife is into a ton of different crafts, and otherwise I wouldn't even know where to begin for her!
Is that a robot on a Jester King bottle?? Haven't seen that...
Yes sir! RU-55. Probably their most sour sour. It's fantastic if you like sour beers. One of my top 5 sours.
Always glad to see some one else that enjoy's Pathfinder!
It's a great system! I played my first game of D&D in 1983, and played 1st edition for many years. I had actually finally switched to 3.5, and then 4.0 came out a few years later. I hated 4.0. It plays like a video game to me. I feel like the Pathfinder system took the best of 3.5 and improved on it. I feel like it is a natural progression from where the game started from. I have played many many other RPG's, but I keep coming back to the D&D platform. I am currently running part 1 of 6 in the Serpent Skull Adventure path series. The group I'm running now are all 1st time players under me, so that's a pretty cool bonus.
I need to find a group to game with again . And the time
I know the feeling. Fortunately, my youngest step daughter (21) has a lot of the same interest as I do. Our group is comprised of her and some of her friends. Time was much harder to find. I worked about 1000 hours of overtime this year, so we only played a handful of times. I'm not complaining, I'm blessed to have such a problem, but my gamers were understanding. I went years without playing, so I know where you are coming from. Check out the Paizo website, they have listing for their Pathfinder society that will provide a list official Pathfinder groups in your area. You could also try playing via the web, I have heard of groups doing that as well. I hot my fix by listening to podcast of live play. (Huge Geek!) I listened to one called Thursday Knights. The campaign ran 4 years. The plot line and role playing were superb! It's 4th edition D&D, which I don't really care for, but the gamers are all fantastic and the DM kept them focused on the game at hand.
I started playing WEG d6 Star Wars (still love that system, even with it's flaws), started playing Ad&d I loved Greyhawk and the Realms, was not a fan of the system, 3.x came out and got back into greatly, 4 I agree is a twisted system that plays like crap IMHO, have yet to play Pathfinder in a RL game, but, online a bit and like so much! Awesome that you have a newbie group!
Once they get some more experience, I would like to run them through another system. Maybe Cthulhu if the system is still on the market. I haven't kept up with Paladium, but have played quite a few of their games over the years. For AD&D, Greyhawk was my platform of choice, but I played in the Realms, the old Judges Guild campaign setting, the Dragonlance campaign setting, as well as many individually created worlds.
Another day off! Heading out with the wife. Finally going to see the new Hobbit movie!
For some reason that is the only Atwood I really like, nice gear as always.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
