    How heavy is that?

I wouldn't attach it to keys I may need, like vehicle keys for escape or house keys for going home ;)

Dummy keys and a slung shot would be fine though!

Redoxx sells premade Monkey's Fist tags - I have an Air Boss that uses them and there are "just right"

    http://www.redoxx.com/articles/Fair-Trade-helps-Guatemalan-economy.html

must be more satisfying to be able to make them yourself.

Hmmm....we're talking about a self-defense monkey fist, right? I don't think the redoxx ones would be much help there.

Ah, I thought the idea was to use the monkey fist knot to swing your keys at someone, or have I got the wrong end of the stick?

I guess you could do it either way, but the redoxx ones would make a pretty crappy handle being that small.

This is a joke right? Even if weighted with a lead ball or something, you're unlikely to cause much damage.

    I honestly don't know :)

It never occurs to me that I'd need to carry a weapon of any kind to be honest - my life obviously isn't exciting enough.

I don't know.... the "Slung Shot" is illegal in most (all?) states in the US. :spank:

i've played around with a couple. both lead and steel cores.

on a large muscle, probably just going to give you a nice bruise.

but, i would -absolutely not- want to catch one anywhere on the head.

and yes, the "slung shot" is a commonly prohibited weapon.

1)Tie one with a .75" steel pinball in the end and braid 8-10" handle with loop.
    2) Whack the palm of your hand with the ball end
    3) Yelp like a little girl :lolhammer:

Ps. that's a great blog wish it was in English. Man, wish I studied harder in school !
