That squarish key is for the mailbox of our government housing.. they a pain to duplicate accurately.. I usually have to bring it back a few times before it works.. a lot of shops are unwilling to duplicate such keys and when they do, they charge very expensive here in Singapore..

that square thingy is a stamped ID fob made of an aluminium bar or copper from Etsy.. It's listed as bar dog tags by themadstampers.. Of course being edcers, how can we NOT have COPPER!! So I have both lol..

I bet your keychains don't stand up by themselves.

    It's not a keychain. It's very cool, but not a keychain. ;)

Fair enough. So with that in mind, I amend my previous statement. Your...keychain...stands alone.

I can't leave it alone, but I will only carry what I use. The top bunch is my overflow: the key ring is Ti, from a lot I scored cheap on eBay.

The Petzl Spirit is my favorite 'biner, after many years and works well as knuckle reinfiorcement when needed. The pointy thingie is a marlinspike/mini kubotan--one of three I made from a bag of Vargo Ti tent pegs. At less than $4 per peg, I get two tools from each.

I like the McGizmo clips, but when funds allow, I'm going to replace them--and whatever else I can--with Ti versions. I love that :censored:.

    Gutted paracord gaffer tape fob
    Studio and house keys
Car key on s Biner (depends on which car or walkng)

When my Fenix AAA mght comes in from repair, it will rejoin the family

I'd also like to add: I miss the day when car keys were "normal size" .. not these fandagled fobs and buttons and electronic chips. I asked at the Toyota dealer to make me a copy of this key for my RAV4 as "just a key" and he said it has a chip inside necc. to unlocking the door. hmf.

This security measure has reduced car theft 90% in vehicles which use it. Its doesn't block unlocking the car, it stops the thieves from starting the engine if they break in and attempt to hot-wire the ignition (or it disengages the fuel pump on some so they won't get very far). If you hate the bulk of these keys, I don't see why you couldn't leave one with the embedded RFID chips in the cockpit, say hidden inside a seat cushion, and then come and go with a smaller, thinner, lighter, chip-free key.

You will have defeated the security measure they offer, but since only one in every million owners would think to do this, the odds a crook will break in to see if you are one of them is remote. Hide the RFID key in a secret Faraday shielded box and you would maintain the security feature, but then you would have the nuisance factor of having to open the box to expose the key each time you wanted to start the car, and don't forget to reseal the box when you leave. [One of those magnetically-mounted-under-your-bumper metal key lockers might even suffice as the Faraday shield box, but of course it would need to be tested.]
