Very nice! If you're looking for something small and sturdy to replace the split ring on your Prometheus, my recommendation would be to get a #25 roller chain connecting link! I personally don't like split rings, so everywhere I can on my setup I've replaced them with the connecting links. They've been a great way to streamline things and reduce size, not to mention they look awesome!
Thanks!!! I pit a smaller split ring on it for now. I really like the look of the master link. Gonna see if I could get my hands on some. Waiting on a few more things to add on, coming in the mail. Know where I can get some of those links?
All three of the Walmarts in my town have master links. They're sold on the bike accessory aisle as a "repair" kit and it comes with a chain presser tool also. I think it's like $4. Alternatively I'm sure any bike shop will sell them, possibly in different sizes, likely for cheaper than the Walmart "kit".
Look at the post I linked earlier, I wrote in detail about it. You can definitely find normal bike or motorcycle sized links pretty easily, but you'll have a harder time finding the smaller ones like the ones on my setup (as I said, I use mostly #25, aka 1/4" pitch). The best place I've found to order them was Global Industrial, and again check the post I linked. Good luck, feel free to PM me if you need any help!
Close! It's the previous model, the Quantum DD. Either way, Veleno makes great keychain flashlights for a very affordable price. Highly recommended!
There's an app for your phone called key ring. It'll get those pesky cards off your keys and out of the wallet, or in your case, possibly purse. I cut my wallet width in half thanks to it! And I had a ring solely dedicated to those cards. Had like 20 odd total. Now they're all scanned into my phone. Except of course, the one that I have to swipe at the pump for discounted gas. Have gun, Will travel.
I had no idea there was an app like that. That's neat to know! Thank you. It'll also help when they rub together so much they lose the scanner code on the back. I appreciate that.
Well, looks like we're about to be a single car family! Wife & I work at the same place, & have the same hours, so it won't be too bad. Getting rid of her tiny little Honda CRZ. Hated that thing! And best of all, I'll get that sorry key outta my pockets! Which will thin down my 'chain quite a bit! Updated pics after the sale is final this week.
