Was never keen on a pry on a king ring as its an instant pocket shredder. Since getting a Ti Keysmart i was looking into the bottle opener they do, but then thought if a Ti Punisher pry bottle opener would fit & it does wonderfully. The washers gently keep it in place as well . Going by these photos i seem to have more weeds than grass in my lawn.
Changed up the key chain today added the inCharge and moved away from a split ring. I wear dress pants everyday so pocket bulge is a big issue for me, I normally have to pocket dump at work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm all for moving away from split rings, but I'd avoid the "aircraft" cables. The threaded collar has been known to unscrew itself in regular use and dump your keychain onto the ground. Take a look at Lucky Line products. They are available on-line or at some local locksmith stores. I personally prefer the Flex-o-Loc, but the Twisty is also good.
I'm not a huge fan of it, just got a cheap one at Lowes to try out. It does allow the bulk to spread out a little in my pocket though. I think finding the right ratio of stuff/bulk will be the bane of my existence. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
To flatten your vehicle key out a little bit more, you might try an MM clip and a master link. That way, the key wouldn't be turned against the cable loop. Then put the iPhone charge on the S-biner and it would be turned 90°, too.
+2 on the perils of the aircraft cable. I have one as the main ring on my key chain and the longer I've had it the more I have to double and triple check the screw collar so it doesn't dump everything. Thanks for the pointer to Lucky Line. Maybe they wi have what I need.
-1 on the perils of aircraft cables in my use. I've been using them pretty consistently since early 2011 and never had a hint of any coming loose. They don't look like the one from ThurstyUSMC's pic though. Mine have a wider knurled finish on the female threaded portion. Before use I always apply some black heat shrink on them to get rid of any colour and noise but doubt this benefits fastener stability. Guess that may not have been a surprise to some of you ... lol ...
My wife said to tell you that Predator bead is "awesome sauce". And I really like your twisted copper keychain.
