Do you have a maker name or brand we can look for? Just searching for scalpel gives me 6939 results from my S-A-M-S-U-N-G S9+ via T-A-P-A-T-A-L-K
Searched for Titanium Scalpel and found it Seller have a lot of unatributed copies of famous brands, so still wonder what the original is called if anyone knows from my S-A-M-S-U-N-G S9+ via T-A-P-A-T-A-L-K
The closest one I found is "Scalpel Jones", which appears to have a usable thumb release mechanism to help removing the sheath. I prefer this one as it has simpler lines and better gripping.
Then recommend them to make it in flashy anyodized titanium. I'd get myself a Christy Executive or Traveler if shipping was possible from their own page for an acceptable price. Once I've seen them on the bay, $30 for the knife, $20 for shipping... Also traveling to Germany could be tricky with this one. Out the front knives are illegal to own and one hand opening and locking knives need a good reason to carry... Too bad, I really like this one little fella.
I bought my Christy Executive direct from the company. Here is the website: https://www.christycompany.net This is a VERY small company. It is a family owned and operated company; apparently now in the 4th generation? I would expect that if you contacted them they would absolutely be able to arrange a shipment direct to you. As far as OTF, one hand, etc. Look at the size of the blade. Most directly comparable to a SAK! L'chaim! Moshe ben David
On their website it's clearly stated no international shipping atm. Even if, with those free shipping options from the PRC it's just slightly weird to pay halp price for shipping. Maybe when someone I know travels to the US or if I see it popping up on a European ebay I'd order one. And yes, it is OTF and locking OHO in a real nanny state but I never got checked besides entering the emassy in Berne. But yeah, re-discovering coins clearly doesn't help my knife budget
I contacted them a small while ago, and was told they do not ship to Norway. Maybe if I use Vyking ship to forward it for me? Otherwise I do believe scalpel blades are sharper and thinner. Also widely available from my S-A-M-S-U-N-G S9+ via T-A-P-A-T-A-L-K
Scalpels are scary sharp but can snap easily because they are so thin. This looks interesting: https://www.nitecorestore.com/ntk05-titanium-utility-knife-p/acc-nite-knife-ntk05.htm I really dig replaceable, affordable, razor sharp blades which is why I came up with my Mack the knife. There's a link to a Howto video on it in the notes under the video at Youtube for anyone interested in making their own.
CCW: Klarus TI AAA light, steel Spyderco honeybee, KeyBak wire reel with wire-saving modification, TI MacArmy compass, steel DOVO INOX folding nail clippers, steel nifty wine key and bottle opener, TI prybar, Ti whistle, steel Uncle Bill tweezers, steel marlin spike, TI pill fob (Amazon TI-EDC), steel flat/philips bit, TI Valiant Concepts pen. There are some TI options available for these, like the tweezers or bit, but I found TI to be a poor choice for these applications. I'm half-looking for a nice TI replacement for the knife and marlin spike, however. I have some TI stock and may just make one of my own at some point. Well, can't get my photo to insert...maybe some other time
I took a stab at that, and I think you're good. In all fairness, though, I have to give some credit to @Mumbojumboo who posts his pictures from Flickr. I copied out the text from one of his posts and adjusted your post accordingly.
That's what I was going for. I've got so much other stuff in my pockets I don't like giving up any real estate to my keys. My car has a smart key with is tucked away in my front pocket wallet (never have to get it out) so the only 3 keys I need are my house, work and pickup keys. On the danger in my front left pocket its like they're almost not there. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
