Darkpsyche, I like those 3D printed wings. VERY nice!

Do you have an adapter stored inside for that collection of micro sized bits (you also carry) or do you just use my mini-Leatherman trick?

Thanks mzil! I do store a mini adapter in the shaft (I tried the cs trick but I snapped it by accident!). With the 3d printed cap I can store the adapter and a double sided bit with no problem.

OH NOES! I'm sorry if you snapped it due to seeing my video.:( I feel bad. I guess these little Leathermen were never meant to be used this way. PM me your mailing address and I''ll send you a check to buy a new one.

I'm goin to add a disclaimer to my video now informing people that this is a possible danger.

Oh no worries, I sent it back to leatherman and they repaired it at no cost. I didn't realize it was your video, I was really impressed when I saw that! (I'm honored to be in the presence of a multitool celebrity :D ) The trick is really awesome and works well, I was just being cocky and tried to apply it on one of the toughest screws I could find in the house (I tried unscrewing the largest hex bolt I can find on some ikea furniture). Lesson learned!

Oh, OK. Sorry anyways. I have now added a disclaimer to the video that it is risky.

Back to your clever mod for the TrueUtility driver. Your idea of combining what's best about the CountyComm product and the TrueUtility one into a single design is a good one. Do you 3D print yourself or do you send the plans out to a third party that makes it for you? These machines are getting so affordable these days I may have to bite the bullet and just buy one but I don't know what to look for.

I have a video about that Trueutility driver and my Chapstick keychain holders you may have already seen. I have now added the same disclaimer about the Leatherman and micro bits to this vid too:

Hmm, maybe I should retire my avatar image if it is risky to use these this way.

Really nice video, thanks for sharing! I really like the chapstick bit storage solution.

I printed the part on my m3d micro printer, it's actually one of my first successful prints. I got the printer for $299 from their website, I think they still have a cyber Monday sale going on now. If you'd like I can send you a 3d printed copy of the handle!

Thanks for the 3D printer recommendation. I'll keep that in mind but I'll pass on your kind offer for the handle at this point. Heck, half of the fun is coming up with your own gear on your own, as I'm sure you know! :)

Stormdrane: That is one heck of a lanyard! Just how long is that sucker? With the key set on the end, looks to me like it is 'weaponized' in the medieval sense! :uhhuh:

    L'chaim!

I usually keep the lanyards at around a couple of feet long. I have one for the keychain another for the wallet, where they are secured to my belt/belt loop and I can still access/use items with or without detaching them. Sometimes I'll use small clips for quicker on/off, like for a flashlight that I use often. ;)

I keep this one on me at all times and I have another exactly like it with other less used keys. One of these days I'll break down and get a Key Bar.
