CrisRoss What scissors are those, please? At least that's what it looks like on the left unless it's a knife next to the clippers?
I do like it! While I was taken back at how small it is (around a 2 inch height), it stays close to my body and doesn't swing too wildly when I walk. I had to get used to the single piece construction. The spring felt weak, but it hasn't slipped off at all, so I am pretty confident in it's security.
LRex Thanks! That was the one thing I always wondered about was the retention. Good to know it's still holding up fine. By the way srvctec those scissors look to be the True Utility SciXors
You've demonstrated this quite well, Rgray. So Andrw declined to implement your suggestions. That doesn't justify attacking him. We can disagree with each other without getting hostile.
Hey srvctec I don't have experience with them, but I feel the size of them would make them quite difficult to use. I assume they are the length of a normal sized house key. If half is the handle and half are the cutters, then we are looking at a thumb and index finger grip. I could be wrong on all of this, though. I like the scissors in a SAK, the handle gives it a little more grip. Edit: AndrwTNT we posted at the same time haha, I also agree on your post
Weirdo Thank you sir.. well said srvctec I have had experience with them. They are great for small tasks in a pinch. Only reason I don't have them anymore is because I prefer the scissors on my SAK which is always on me. The handles on the SciXors were slightly difficult to get a steady grip on but that might just be big hand problems. Definitely a fun little gadget! Edit: Posted this before seeing LRex's reply. His assessment is pretty much right on the mark in my opinion. They are handy, but I too prefer the SAK scissors for grip.
I always have my SAK on me as well, but thought it would be nice to have a heavier duty, longer cutting pair. I looked at some reviews in the mean time and they don't seem to get a lot of love- think I'll pass. Thanks for the info!
Changed a couple things out. New toys came in! Berrylium copper Eiger, and a brass county comm double cash stash. I added the squirt last week.
RGRAY Weirdo's comments say it well. AndrwTNT's reply to your suggestions wasn't dismissive, and shared reasonable, detailed insight into his choices, all in a non-confrontational manner. There are actually 2 sizes: SciXors and SciXors+. I have a copy of the SciXors: More here: Everything Doraemon's Carrying Main thing is, because it doesn't have finger loops and it's so short, it tends to flip to the side if you squeeze it with thumb and finger.
Brendon: I'm not the poster, but I'm pretty sure that is a "Victorinox Quattro screwdriver bit" on top of a normal key. It's a handy little screwdriver the size of a coin. I used one this weekend!
If your concerned about retention, you could look at the manufacturer's newer carabiners like the two on the top row of this photo.
