ZT 0450cf for me
0450 or 0804 or the anso collab for me!
Not often I'm thinking of Emerson designs but the Launch 5 looks really interesting. No recurve, Emersonergos and Kershaw quality.
Ungh, I may have to start saving the pennies that 0220 is is a pretty thing. Although on the realistically affordable side the Ferrite is mighty tempting. The Barge might be a good grab for adding to a toolbox.
Their site is now showing off all the new stuff. They have a carabiner at the bottom of their page that looks like it's designed to tear the everloving stuffing out of your pocket.
The last two ZT carbon fiber knives interest me a little. The rest of the regular Kershaws were okay, but nothing I really want. They really are dumping tons of new models out every year.
I like the idea of the 450cf. The 909 appeals to me, too.
i've seen the video on scout's channel, i like the looks of the kershaw with the auto bit driver in the handle.
I've seen around 2/3 of it and I often though, oh, nice design, budget friendly, but A/O.
Thanks, but no thanks.
I was surprised they didn't manage to put in a spring into the Emerson folder.
But I like that small Auto, if it's fired with the push of a button springs are fine, and illegal over here
It's nice to see them changing the design of their deep carry clips. The old design sucked. The screws would always get caught on my pocket
The launch 5 is an Emerson design.
Yes, but that's an Auto, that's ok.
In autos they use circular springs and I like the way the blade comes out, with an even force for the whole way. Assisted openers to me always feel like the blade is kicked into my hands with a very hard initial force.
It's just my personal opinion on it but I believe if you put a spring into the opening mechanism, make it automatic or just make a good manual folder like the Chill which doesn't need springs or ball bearings to be super smooth.
And about the Emerson i should have said, I'm surprised they didn't make an assisted wave opener knife
When you really, really, REALLY need a knife open fast.
I can just imagine - the wave catches on the edge of your pocket, and the spring fires before the knife clears your pocket, the blade flying open against the pocket seams - as it gracefully catapults itself off your jeans and into your hand!
Yeah, I don't carry my CQC-5k because it was always hard to get it out of my pocket without opening the blade, now imagine that with a spring inside. It's a pity because I really like how the laminated leather scales turned out...
