I just received one as a gift, and I have couple of questions/

    Anybody has one?

    My questions are:

Does the flipper stud has a little bit of play?

    Is it hard to open?

    Thanks

The flipper stud on mine actually rattles a bit when it is open or closed. I think it's just because of the design though.

Mine was a little tough to open at first, then I played around with the pivot and got used to using the flipper. Now I like to carry it just for the fun of flipping it open.

I had one and sold it. There was nothing wrong with it; I did think it was hard to open, compared to any other knife with a flipper that I've used.

Yes, the flipper has play in it and it's normal.

It should open easily. This is the best flipper I've ever used.
However, if you have the pocket clip in the tip up position,
(I think it comes this way from the factory) you have to be careful
not to put pressure on the lock bar with your middle finger as you open it.
Until I found this out I thought the knife had a problem.
If the clip is in the tip up position, it should keep this from happening.

This is one of my favorite knives, regardless of price!

Very easy to open with the overdrive mechanism. One thing about mine is that it has a pretty weak detent. This allows you to open it without a real abundance of pressure on the flipper but it also lets it flick open without any use of the flipper if I give it a quick & hard start/stop with a fixed wrist. I tried tightening the pivot to hedge against this but it got to the point that the amount needed to make a difference was slowing down the regular opening so I just put the pivot back to normal.

I am already getting used to the knife, I found a position where it is real easy to open and doesn't need a lot of pressure

Great knife, and a lot of fun to play with. The flipper take a bit of time to work in, but after it does the blade pops out lightning fast. It is the only knife I carry tip down, I find that it makes for a deeper carry, the flipper rests against the corner of my pocket and does not catch anything I put in the pocket, and the bend of the clip acts as a ramp for my middle finger when I flip out the blade.
