It's been a while since I've been on the forum or doing any knife shopping. But I was looking around and am really liking the looks of the Kershaw Launch Series, particularly the Launch 6.

Anyone use of these yet and have any feedback?

They seem like a really good value. An American made auto, with a good blade steel, and from a reputable company for a very reasonable price.

    I would rather have a Pro-Tech.

Me too, but you're not going to find a pro tech for less $100.

True. I found one for $105, with free shipping.

The Kershaw Launch 5 looks like a decent knife. I had in the "basket," but I did not hit the buy button. I have several autos, but I am reluctant to carry them. While my state is fine with it, I work for the federal government and they are less understanding at the moment. Also, I wonder what advantage there is to a push button auto. As for speed, I am faster with my Emerson Wave, thumb stud and flipper knives (both with and without spring assist). I still like the Kershaw Launch 5 and I might hit "buy" eventually...

I have heard of people having issues with them, which is one of the reasons I would suggest something else.

Owned and carried a Launch 2 for over a year as a backup. No issues yet.

I'm really wanting one of these. Its been a while since I've bought a new knife so I might have to see if I can find one around.
What kind of issues have you heard of?

The launch series has lock up issues.

Well I found a Launch 6 and pulled the trigger on it. Pretty nice knife with a decent kick.

I'm at lunch at work now, so no pics yet. I have to keep my Dragonfly tucked away in my pocket at work since we're not supposed to have knives. But I'll snap some the next time I'm paying with the knife.

After looking into it, I have seen some of the lockup issues TKC mentioned. None with my so far while playing with it in front of the TV.

I have a launch 2 and the spring seems to be somewhat weak when the blade is almost completely deployed. The blade kicks open so fast that I can't release the button before the blade bounces off the stop pin and the weak spring allows the blade to rest just out of battery. Now I have to wrist-flick the blade fully open.
I sent the knife in under warranty and they "serviced" it for free but it still has the same issue but now the blade is slightly more loose. It took almost 8 weeks to get the knife back and no real difference.
I did go to a local knife dealer and played with a few benchmade autos and none had this problem.
With that said, I do like the knife but Its just frustrating to have an automatic that doesn't stay open automatically.
