I own several Doziers. Let's see, one in orange, one in tan at least two in black and at least another two in OD. Great cheap small knife. If I lost one of had to abandon one, I would only be out of pocket at about $20. What's not to like.

Mine all have the thumb post rather than the opening for one handed opening. I bet I could live with either.

I recently picked up the orange version with the black, thumb hole blade. It is a very good knife for the approx $20 price tag. It isn't as refined as my Spyderco Delica, but is almost the same size and cutting edge and it performs very well, again for such a good value.

The full size and mini Ka-Bar Doziers are great values. I'd say they're among the best sub-$20 reasonably sized folders on the market.

Yep. No one will mistake a Ka-Bar Dozier for a Benchmade Griptilian on any level: blade steel, smoothness, construction, etc. That said, the heat treat on their AUS8 steel seems pretty good, the ergos are nice, it has a solid lock, a nice thin profile and the whole package is lightweight. It's like a BIC Lighter: cheap, functional and dependable. :)

My 9 year daughter has the pink one. She thinks it is so cool.

The colors are amazing! I am starting to amass quite a few black g10/silver bladed knives and it is nice to see something a little brighter!

Thanks for the review. I purchased a Coyote Tan one for my cousin back in March and it has kicked his Tenacious out of the rotation :D

Based on others and this review, I just ordered a Kabar Dozier #4065. I couldn't pass due to the looks and price, along with the positive opinions I've been reading.

The knife arrived the other day. It's OK when considering the price. I'm not pleased with the back/forth motion while in the locked position, but I guess it shouldn't take away from the usefulness of the knife. It's definitely not a Mini-Grip or Delica.

I'm exchanging my current Dozier for a new one. This one really as a bunch of up and down blade play. I'm hoping it's just a fluke.

The Ka-bar Doziers are usually pretty solid (especially for the price). I hope the next one has better lockup.

Thanks. Me too. I really love the look and feel of the knife in my hand. I've spent hours and hours to time researching it as well, which is why I got it. You seem to get so much value from this knife when you look at function vs. price.

My replacement arrived a couple days ago. It's still has the slightest bit of up/down play, but it's way better than that 1st one I had. Overall, I'm pleased to the point where I just ordered a #4062, with the thumb stud.

    Again, not my pic.

I've had the mini in my pocket for over a year. No complaints, very solid and good looking knife. I was actually thinking about getting a hunter as well.
