I have been wearing a battered TIMEX EXPEDITION for the last 6 years. I like it because it has a nice backlight and it was £15.......the strap was rubbish though and got replaced with a NATO nylon strap. I wear it mainly for work (as a Psychiatric Nurse) so it consequently gets a lot of abuse both physically and throug constant disinfecting for one reason or another. It is time for a new watch:

    HALF PRICE!!!!!!!!!

It's free postage but the customer feedback reckon they're quick so it'll be a few days.

I was initially wanting a resin/rubber strap but at this price I coulnt's resist. I early had the Mission Impossible III watch though. Haven't has a metal bracelet watch since I was a kid...hope it's ok. Should be easy to keep clean though.........my timex is knackered from all the scrubbing!

You simply cannot go wrong with the G-Shock line. Tough, reliable and reasonably priced.

Arrived this morning. Smaller than I thought it'd be, nicely packaged but with less than great instructions. No info on adjusting the bracelet (which is built for Andre the Giant!) so Google required for that. Setting the time etc was easy apart from not picking up the extra hour in British Summer Time. Will give it a test run over the next few days.

    +1

I have had a DW003-S for several years, and only just had to replace the battery.

    These are phenominal watches.

I managed to adjust the bracelet. Fiddly initially but easy enough once the first link is out. Feels solid and weighty. Nice watch. I will post pics after setting up a flickr or photobucket account.

I had a timex data link many moon ago. Changed over to the Gshock after the timex let me down a few times. I've got three Gshocks now and other than changing batteries nery an issue. Much better watch than timex IMHO, you'll love it.

Awesome watch....obviously hard to read in low light (without pressing the backlight button....OBVIOUSLY!!!), but otherwise a nice watch. It's had some hard knocks so far at work and hasn't got a scratch......it chips pain ton walls and doors!!!!! Will post shots as soon as I can get round to it.

Been wearing a Mudman G9000 for nearly 2 years. Solid as. Waiting for the resin strap to break though as I know this can be a fail area but it's held up through a fair few tough situations and not given yet. Will be looking at one of the nylon/velcro straps.

Great choice on the G-Shock, been wearing a mudman GW-9010 for like 2 years, I absolutely love the solar power and atomic clock.
