have been playing with a Ruger 10/22 Charger take down pistol...the idea of a high capacity, low muzzle blast for inside a car, low recoil firearm with good hit quality has been concept idea for a couple of weeks now... I added a Vortex Spitfire scope with a bold inner circle illuminated reticle I don't really care for when used in a standard eye box distance, but when held in a "taco" hold works very well...I hold my rifles and shotguns with my support hand's three fingers under the fore end, thumb on top, and index finger pointing at target...shooting the Charger extended in this position in what we called the taco hold for metallic silhouette shooting puts the bold ring in the A zone of a USPSA target at 25yd and the head at 12yd.... as soon as the dot comes on target you can pull the trigger a couple of times... it comes with the newer polymer trigger group, but I had an old aluminum unit from the STC days lying around, and switched it out....I'll try to chronograph it Wednesday to see what the little .22lr are doing out of the 10" barrel...
I'm starting to compete in the Steel Challenge matches locally (with rim fire)..with a 10" CMMG dedicated on my SBR.... Vortex Venom on a YHM riser... works very well and a lot of fun... duplicate optics on my AR9 PCC just got a third Venom for my SW M41... think I'll try it for the next match
Don't know how I forgot to post this one when I posted the 10/22 !? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just watched a video on this over at Bud's. Seems like I need one. What is the hottest .22lr round this will take? What is the hottest .22LR round available to the public?
