1 - Blackberry (in otter box)
    2 - Surefire E2D (LED lamp conversion)
    3- Spyderco Yojimbo
    4- Blackhawk CQD Mark 1
    5 - *Wallet (50 cash, multiple CC)
    6 - *Lighter
    7 - *Smokes
8 - 8 GB flash drive (clipped to necklace)
9 - Crawford key chain bottle opener neck knife (worn around neck)
10 - Fab Defense speed light (single CR123A model, runs effectively on expired surefire batteries)

Are we taking NOTHING for granted here? Because if we are taking for granted, say clothing, do we take for granted - watch (Wenger Chrono) - belt (Bowen belt knife or Blackhawk riggers belt) - sunglasses (Numa Optics) - *wallet if its is not specifically rigged with gear could also be taken for granted, *smokes and *lighter if the lighter doesn't fall into the specialized gear category.....

Just your clothing and shoes. You can specify certain clothes or shoes too. The basic idea here is, even if we own nad discuss TONS of stuff, what actually gets carried is what matters when the chips are down.
Some guys say you can get out of most troubles if you have a gun, a bottle of water and 5000 USD in your pocket.
Can't say I dont agree with that to a point. I might add other basics: a knife, a flashlight, means of having a flame (not just a spark).
Also, wallet would count for its contents as one item as long as its realistic sized. Example, in m wallet I have money, cards, a scalpel blade and some bandaids. that would be one object.

    Continue to refine my EDC...

    Currently

    SAK (Explorer Plus)
    lighter (Split Pea)
    Prytool (Countycomm Pocket)
    whistle (Fox 40 Micro)
    Clip-on Knife (Spyderco Delica)
    Flashlight (Fenix P1D Q5)
    Pen (Fisher Bullet or Xmark)
    Moleskine ("Volant" 3 1/2 x 5 1/5)
    Phone

Of these, I'm not sure why I carry the lighter, prytool, or whistle. I use them very rarely, but can't help but thinking that could come in handy in certain scenarios. They are small, and light so for now I'll carry them, although it is tempting to get rid of them so the pockets aren't as full. Otherwise all of the other items are very handy. Most are very small, and do get used regularly.
