Well, That should teach you a fine lesson.

Maybe you should send me the Bodega until you learn your proper place whilst handling a fine knife like that... ;) ;) ;)

The blade is thick and heavy. Sharp as a devil out of the box and snaps out with authority. Closes the same and the cutting surface is long and straight. Not for the lefties which I am but fortunatly I use my right hand for most of the tasks.

I don't have a picture because the cut is too small to photograph without setting up real lights, but my straight razor bit my thumb today.

I was just mildly careless when I was changing my grip.

I didn't feel it....all of a sudden my thumb was wet.

It reminded me of that first Shevette shave...the consolation for cutting yourself up for your first handful of shaves is that you won't feel it.

I had a run in with a few of my knives today - got a Lansky knife sharpening kit and went to town on them.. Of course seeing if I could shave hair off my arm seemed like a 'fun' thing to do with them all after - I now have a series of small cuts, shaving rash and a bare forearm.

I cut myself enough times that it's all muscle memory now. It's been awhile but now that I typed it, probably going to happen sooner than later.

Go figure, cleaning and oiling the sharps today, and of all the knives... the small blade on the SAK Tinker decided it needed to be fed. Oops.

Cut the tip of my thumb a couple weeks ago with my kitchen chopping knife cutting up some basil. Wow, does that ever bleed allot.

And of course I learn a very valuable lesson today, and that is to not use a friction lock knife to pry apart something. Thankfully, I guess, that the knife wasn't razor sharp and I only ended up with a little knick at the tip of my index finger (the knife closed on my finger) that is more of a nuisance than anything.

I have a philosophy that if a knife bites me (with the exception of my kitchen knives) I usually don't hold onto them for long.

Everyday. I carry a few things sharp and I expect to get cut. 99% are mostly very minor.

    If it's a cardboard cut-out of a knife ......... than yes.

Sharpening while tired and not paying attention and not giving the knife the respect I should have. 24 stitches.

All is well. More fillet cut versus straight in at a 90° angle. Missed cutting the tendons by a tiny bit. Wounded pride and ego mostly.

Note to self ....... do not read threads like this while eating lunch!!!

It looks like they did a good job stitching you back up. I once had the same cut (but not as deep) with a bread knife while cutting some Italian panini's and not paying attention.
