Not at those but I due have a few other items he has made and they all are extreme quality. I do have the original Pocket Tweez and the new version. I will say I am not a fan of the new version, much prefer the original! Luckily I have a spare Original version just need to find it again.

+1 for Uncle Bill's Sliver Grippers! I have a pair in each of my FAK, including the little Altoids box FAK that lives in my pocket. They are handy for sure!

And not to forget the tweezers on various SAK. Which includes the Classic SAK that also lives in the Altoid box FAK; and generally each of my other FAK also have a Classic SAK.

    L'chaim!

Were these from the special release just before Christmas?
I almost purchased another, but couldn't pull the trigger at $60 since my two originals were only $25.

Yes they were. A little pricey but limited edition polished, probably will be put in storage for the collection.

Sliver Grippers are the gold standard for tweezers.

HOWEVER, the little clippy thing that they issue you to carry it in your keychain (or dogtags) will not hold it securely. The sliver grippers are retained by spring pressure but can be inadvertently triggered by accident. Mine didn't even last on my keychain for a single day!

Nowadays, I view the clip as a tip-protector and nothing else. I carry the sliver grippers in a mini first aid kit or an Altoid tin, and haven't lost any since.

haven't had that keychain problem (no dog tag due to SSN on it) but good suggestion to put it in the kit it belongs in....

The Uncle Bill's are terrific. I keep a pair on my two main keychains (but most of the time, I use the tweezers in my EDC SAK.

I expect this is true for a lot of people and that the company has lost a significant amount of sales revenue ditching the old style for the new.

Yes, I think you are right about that. The new version is made with cheaper materials but still cost the same as the original did.
Uncle Bills are 2/3s cheaper and better than the new version Pocket Tweez, just my opinion.
