My company does a lot of reviews with ifixit and the Pixel is one of the nicer phones we have seen / x-rayed in a while. The Pixel series is definitely a contender in the quality phone arena. The iPhone 7 water proofing amounts to some membrane switch coverings and tighter tolerances. What irritates me is the apple warranty is void if you get water damage lol so much for water resistant.

Agreed. Not saying the Pixel or XL are iPhone killers, but looking at the project development plans over the next few years, Apple should worry.

Y'know, everyone makes a big deal out of the eliminated headphone jack, but I don't remember the last time I plugged anything into that jack. I have bluetooth headphones, and a bluetooth adapter for the car. Once I went wireless, there was no going back.

i just switched from an iPhone 6 to the Galaxy S7 Edge. I probably won't be going back to the iPhone.

    Hi
    I have had everything Apple
    3g, 3GS, 4, 4S, 5, 5S, 6plus. Lots of iPads and a iMac. But no more.
I have moved to Android with the oneplus 3 it is fantastic.
The customisation is fantastic. With about £60 of apps you can really get a custom interface.
Been a real technical geek moving to Android and back to Windows makes life much easier.
Apple were for the geeks now they are just mainstream.
On a price point the oneplus 3 is £330 a iPhone 7plus is over double that so why would you have the apple product.?

The SE is an awesome device, especially for the price and performance! It easily lasts all day, and for $500, it's a great purchase. If you're concerned about the whole "no headphone jack" thing with the iPhone 7 - don't be. I vowed to never buy an iPhone again if Apple decided to remove the port, and yet here I am with my iPhone 7. It really isn't that big of a deal, and the adapter isn't bad either. The trade-offs (beefier hardware, larger battery, water resistence) are definitely worth it IMO. I'm free to answer any questions you may have about the 7

Look into the ZTE Axon 7. Its an unlocked phone that works with most carriers. Its performance is on par with other Android flagship phones, but at almost half the price. It also runs an almost pure form of Android, so there isn't a lot of bloatware preinstalled.

Don't know that I would let the lack of a headphone jack bother me. I switched to Bluetooth headphones sometime ago (Blueant) and I use them with my phone,iPad and Windows laptop.
