I found something in the duct tape area in walmart today that I hadn't seen mentioned here before. It is a "travel size" roll of Gorilla Tape. It is 1" wide by 30' long. The roll is a little over 3" in diameter. Cost was ~$3.00. They also had sheets of Duck brand that were roughly 8.5"x11".

I'veheard great things about Gorilla Tape but hav never used it. When I use up what I have I'll give it a try. But I've been sayin' that for a long time.

I work in machine maintenance in an auto plant and we got some of the regular rolls from some sales rep. It is GOOD stuff. It really holds up, even in the extreme dust and moisture we have.

I carry a roll in the PowernoodleMobile, and several inches wrapped around a card in my wallet. As with WD-40, I'm constantly looking for ways to use the stuff.

It goes in my edc like this cut out the cardboard center. FLAT-TAPE! Takes up less space. Keep in bag to control gummies.

I buy the sheets of duct tape and cut them to fit in the pocket of my wallet and organizers. Used it to patch an air mattress over the holidays.

    Ditto on gorilla tape.

I have a mini roll of the 1" tape in my glovebox, and another roll in my camera bag

Its pretty good tape, although i would say it is very similar to my favorite Gaffa tape, Nashua 357, in terms of stickiness, but seems a bit thicker and with a glossier outer layer

Gorilla tape is a must. It's the only tape I've found that is reliable in our -40 winters. Regular duct tape separates and electrical tape turns brittle in the cold.

1" is all I've carried since it appeared on market. 9.5 times out of 10, it does what the full-width version does. Allows carry of 2X the length without increase in weight/bulk.

Agree with others. Gorilla's claim to superior performance (vs. "standard" duct tape) is more than just marketing hype.

I make my own travel-size tape "rolls" by wrapping 10-20 feet or so around standard business cards (probably same as what Kidplunge is doing). I'll keep standard duct-tape in glove compartments but use clear packing tape for wallet EDC (thinner for more feet, and doesn't get gooey from body heat).

Gotta try some Gorilla tape though, duct does suck in the cold.

I got the 1" roll for my bag last week after some very positive experiences with the 3" version. I used the 3" version to make running repairs to various things, but it stuck so well and has lasted so long these 'running repairs' have just stayed in place (even in the pouring rain for weeks).

Now the 1" is in my bag for patching up anything I can find :D

Gorilla tape is flammable, too. If you tear it into thin strips you can use it for tinder. I learned this from a Dave Canterbury YouTube video.
