I have four jobs and my EDC has to reflect that:
    1. I am a parish priest
    2. I am a chaplain to a bishop
    3. I am a volunteer firefighter
This this combination has required me to be careful in my selection of tools, especially knives. I also live in a country/state with tight knife laws. My EDC has to be functional but not threatening looking. I am a minimalist and don't carry backup blades, lights and tools.

    • CFA emergency pager - Blet
    • Keys with suspension clip - non-dominant front pocket
    • Minimalist soft leather wallet - dominant rear pocket
    • Pectoral bronze cross from the Maria Laach Abbey in Germany (I collect the work of these monks)
    • iPhone with magpul case (A compromise case between a clean look with no case and a need for protecting my phone on the fireground) - non-dominant front pocket
    • Lamy All-Star converted for bottles Mont Blanc black ink - dominant front pocket
    • Streamlight Stylus-Pro - bag
    • Leatherman juice c2 - bag
    • Spyderco Ping (see below) - dominant front pocket

This is my new favourite knife and suits my need for a useful and quality blade that is people friendly.

In addition I carry a number of items in my attache case for work and in my bunker/turnout gear for firefighting. Mor on that in another post.

All the main bases covered except for a fire source... Surely you need to be able to light a candle or two as a priest?

I don't carry Holy Water. Not much of a call for it. I do carry anointing oil thought. :)

I better get on and photograph my extended kit.

OK...time for my extended EDC. Of course this varies from day to day...but this is what I carry on most days that I am working as a priest and chaplain.

As stated in my OP. I do not carry backups.

Bag: Maxpud Operator Attache. I really want to replace this bag. I am kind of over the tactical look.

    Front pockets:
    • Eagle Creek cube with spare batteries, chargers and cleaning cloth
    • Rennies, Fishermans Friend mints, lens cloth
    • Additional keys (that I don't need to have on me)
    • Pen, Sharpie, L/Man Juice, Streamlight Stylus Pro
    Main compartment:
    • Common Worship Office and Bible
    • Custom productivity system (I elaborate on that in another post).
    • Doxie scanner (I use Evernote extensively)
    • Rhodia No18 pad in a cover
    • Custom writing instrument case
    Rear compartment:
    • 13" Macbook Air
    • Pain relief and bandaids
    • Hazmat cheat sheet (You never know)
    • lighter with gaffa tape
    • more gaffa tape on a credit card
    • spare clerical colar
    Hat:
I always have a hat. Usually a flat cap or a fedora

Do you use the Laudate app on your iPhone? It is a great app for Catholics-it has all of the common prayers, abbreviated bible etc.

We bought our priest (monsignor, actually) a Swisstool Spirit X. He was admiring one if my multitools during a parish event. I was originally going to get him a leatherman but went swiss for obvious reasons :)

I use Olive Tree bile software across all my devices. I only carry a physical bible for morning prayer at the cathedral. Laudate don't suit me as I am not Roman Catholic

One of my supervisors called his SAK his "Curate's Friend".

    Wish List

I have a small collection of gear. But what I do have is well researched and carefully purchased every time. Each purchase fill a niche need and I don't tend to double up on types.

Here is my current wish-list (credit to all copyright holders of the photos below):

    Knives

Al Mar Hawk Ultralight with satin scales - This is all style and a great dress EDC to compliment my Spyderco Pingo and my Opinel Carbon.

Benchmade Triage 915 - This would go in my Fire Go-Bag and replace my Gerber Gator or Shelham Clutch.

    Pens

Southern Pen Designs Fountain Pen in Copper and Carbon. This would be my dress pen. :censored: I love copper.

    Lights

Maratac AAA Copper - To fill a niche inbetween my Streamlight Stylus Pro and my Fenix TK20 (my work horse light).

    Multitool

LM Charge ALX - To replace my Charge TO which I lost in a trailer incident (don't ask). Will fill a niche next to my juice s2, probably in my Fire Go-Bag.

    Carry

Skinth Catch-All - To act as my Fire Go-Bag. I need a bag I can keep my tools I use on the fire-ground in and dump my daily use stuff in when on the truck en-route. I normally take my glasses off, and ditch my phone and wallet into the drink holder on the tanker. I want a bag I can swap out my gear en-route and attach it to the roll bar of the tanker. Make sense?

Handmade Black minimilst lamb hide wallet - I need a better quality wallet. This one is made in France (Etsy)

    Thanks.

It's just an inkjet printed card...I am ex-military turned priest. I get great joy out of repurposing tactical for love.
