Inexpensive watch for outdoor work

    I do, a 7710. I don't struggle to read the display in the day, and if its too dark to see it, I hit the light button. This model has adjustable contrast though, and its set to max on mine :)

    I have had them in the past and found them hard to read, however I am getting to be an old far with bad eyes [shrug]

    I have two reverse display ones... my solar 8900 is really easy to read, but my military green 6900 is more difficult to read. I think the color of the numbers makes a huge difference (white vs orangey.)

    I had an orange faced pathfinder that was impossible to read at certain angles

    Yeah I went gshock- GW6900cr-1. Atomic Solar no batteries and no setting time. Even Daylight savings time. The odd thing is I cannot find the cr any where just the GW6900-1. When I search the CR it comes up with asian symbols/language. Could not even find any info on watchuseek.com

    Did you go for the black solar atomic 6900? I'm not sure why the CR would be in there... at first I thought it might have been a country code, but according to this guide, it is supposed to be stainless steel? I had always thought all 6900s were resin.

    well i boogered that one up its actually GW-6900-1cr the CR is I guess an export code.
