You may recall that last Xmas, a bunch of us (8), knowing how difficult it is to get good EDC gear sold & shipped to citizens of Hungary, decided to put together a "care package" for Gergely. Being of somewhat limited means, he decided to retaliate by having a drawing using all 8 names for two prize knives. I am happy to report that I was one of the lucky recipients of one of these beauties. This one's mine.
LOL. Patience is a virtue, I'm told. How would I know? And just.to prove that there was no favoritism:
I am amazed by the high quality of workmanship. The bolsters and blade are polished to a mirror finish (literally), the lock-up is better than I thought possible for a slip joint and the beautiful bone handle seems to very gently glue itself into my grip. The maker is Nagy Istvan.
Hey Tower, Yeah I saw the video when Greg posted it. Those boys are growin'. But I want pics from this side of the planet!!
not sure if it's appropriate for me to post here glad you like the knife Ron, I wish I could (nay - I will find a way to) send something along to every close friend of mine eventually. I just need to remember we (hopefully) have a wide time frame to achieve that aim and remember: it was not me who started being great, it was you all, all pepped up by this certain restless RN (or his patients, we'll never know for sure)... I just hope Chris Bowden gets his package safe and intact
And let's face it, Gnarly, I may have been the first to jump on the bandwagon (not sure) but you were the one who originated the Gergely Care Package. It's pretty great to have friends like you and Svékus!
