The Odd Couple, Perry Mason, Magnum P.I., WKRP, etc...I like reruns.
I wish I could do that. But I have other watches that I can swap out. Lol
Not the best organized.

I only own one watch, my phone is my backup timepiece.
Good grief man.....what would they be now?.....20 years old?
The only thing that can keep me from having two (or more) of everything that really excels for my uses is tight budget. For example:
Skelettol CX + Freestyle
And, of course, four of my Solarforces
So, who am I to judge you for having two similar watches...
No, that would mean that we are...
Yes.....yes we are...........
I'm wearing my backup G (G1000H)
Not the same as my main G (AW590)
But either way I guess I don't have a backup anymore since I've lost the AW590
The Relumer is getting ready to send this one back so I can send him my back up.....
when i saw this thread pop up, id forgotten exactly what it was about but immediately thought, "please tell me someone isnt wearing two watches in the event one of them breaks...."
as i said before - nothing wrong with finding something you like and having multiple versions of it.
I also thought this was going to be about wearing two watches. lol
I have a Mudman solar/atomic that I bought for work thinking I wouldn't mind if it got beat up, but now I like it so much I'm seriously considering buying a second. I could just keep the back up near a window and never worry about the battery or accuracy.
Ok, I'm going to sound like a devil's advocate but has anyone actually needed an exact duplicate as a backup? Has a piece of your gear failed and then you were glad to have the same one in arms reach? I have multiple styles for some of my gear, i.e.. I have a Leatherman wave and surge. Each has its place but also can act as a backup. I wouldn't think to have multiple waves. Maybe I would if this forum didn't supply me with an endless wish list of new gear.
Count me in, I've got a backup watch or 3!
I've used a backup knife a few times....not because of failure but misplacement.....same with my watch.
Broke routine....left watch at home....rather than go back to house....I put the one on that is in my desk at work.
The heft of a watch is very noticeable when different....IMO.
I can't stand not having a piece of my EDC.....drives me nuts.
Nope, I just have lots of watches, can't bring myself to buy two of one thing when I can just buy another thing in it's place.
BUY ALL THE THINGS!
Yes, I have backups.

I have 2 identical G-Shocks (G-2300, one of my favourite models) because they were selling at a good price and are out of production.
i mentioned before - i currently have three pairs of the same shoe - but i have them for various reasons
a) to wear if im in the garage/at the track/in the yard...they gone get dirty
b) to wear to work, they are cleaner and nicer than A, but get more wear than C
c) rarely wear, only if im dressing really casually during summer (sneakers) and they are in like new condition, not all beat up and dirty
I only have one of each watch, but I do have multiple watches of different styles and types, so I can always switch to another watch if needed. The ones I wear at the moment are all current models anyway (mainly Citizens) so could be easily re-bought should anything happen to them for the next few years at least.
When I am away on a longer trip I will admit I carry a backup watch with me, but I only ever wear one A lesson learnt after having a battery die two days into a fortnight long trip camping (as a Scout leader, so having a schedule is still important for keeping everyone organised and getting to places/activities on time). I ended up buying a cheap replacement watch to last the rest of the camp...
